P O S T P A R T U M. Just like everything else, it's different for everyone. After having my first, I didn't know it was okay to ask for help. I thought I should just figure it out on my own. I didn't know it was okay to say I wasn't happy. I started getting concerned when the suicidal thoughts became more intense. We had a lot of family drama going on so at first I brushed it off but after a while it wasn't something I could make go away. I sought help and went to a physiatrist who put me on some meds then recommended a therapist. As you know, if you've been with me for a while, three months after my daughter was born I found out I was pregnant, I stopped the meds. Fast forward to after the twins were born, my husband slept the first 24 hours of their lives because of a migraine so I took care of them alone. It was a lot plus I couldn't sleep. The first month we thankfully, had a lot of people in and out but after a couple months there weren't many people to help. There was a lot of sleepless nights. I was always in a bad mood. The suicidal thoughts came back full force and stronger than ever. It was scary. My therapist suggested I see another therapist, one she felt could help more. The thoughts were coming almost daily for months. I was so sleep deprived all I wanted was a full 2 or 3 hours of sleep, uninterrupted. I have self harmed since I was 12 so during this time I also harmed myself more than ever and that's when things got more real. Not that I thought it was all a joke before but that's when I was willing to ask for as much help as I could get. That's when o started being more open and raw with friends and loved ones. It took a year for me to feel like a "cloud" was lifted and I still struggle. I still feel mom guilt. I still overreact out of exhaustion. I have to apologize to my children and husband often. BUT I am working on being a better me, a healthier me. I am trying to figure this mom thing out still. Shoot, even the wife thing. I am a new person and it is hard sometimes. I have to forgive myself. I know not everyone has the same experience with postpartum as me but whatever it is, talk to someone. If you are down, having scary thoughts,.......
I know that a lot of people feel insecure with themselves but if you have a crush don’t think that they could never like you back, be positive and think that they definitely like you back! God has a way of bringing people together and it’s a known fact that when you think of someone a lot they are probably thinking of you too! Don’t hesitate to talk to your crush or maybe someone you would like to be friends with because you never know what might happen. Also a lot of people tend to keep their crush a secret which I get that, but maybe try to tell your crush you like them because if they like you back you can go from there but if he/she doesn’t like you back then at least you got it off your chest and you can move on with life. That is just my opinion but I think it would be great if people expressed their feelings to the people in their lives who mean something to them. #yougotthis

I started the day with More than Enough by @elainewelteroth on audible - and am blown away by it. I hear so much of myself in her story about growing up looking different than her classmates, and finding her voice over time through various work experiences and relationships. I’m reminded that being who we are allows others to be themselves, especially when we’re in leadership positions. This week, I’m making a point to make sure everyone on my team feels heard and appreciated. Have a great week! ☀️

Whenever I start to Doubt myself or feel kind of Overwhelmed ...I take a deep breath and tell myself ⚡️You got this ⚡️ It gives me the inner strength to Push though any challenge or obstacle or anything that comes on my way. For whatever reason, there is still always a way to stop negative thinking.
You just have to be positive.Sometimes all you need is a little positive self-talk to get yourself through the hardest times..
So you agree with you , do you talk to your self during any challenging time , let’s share with other and tell how you can handle it 👍🏼💪🏼 . .
The other-other F-word. The one I find more offence that the first word you thought of.
Fear will stop you from moving forward. It will stop you for applying for jobs, asking someone out, making healthier choices, getting promotions....the list goes on.
Fear will tell you that you're not good enough, that you can't do it, that you'll be found out, that you shouldn't even try because, well, you tried it a while ago and it didn't work out.
Fear will hold you back in every single way imaginable.
My response to fear is to directly throw my FAVE f-word back in its face.
Try one small thing today to show me that you say F-you too to FEAR. This could be saying that you do actually want chocolate sprinkles on your cappuccino, even if the chap at Starbucks didn't hear you properly and you 'don't want to make a fuss'. You are going to speak up in a meeting. You are going speak to Sally in HR about an issue which has been bothering you. You are going to ask for help.
Once you take a small step and realise that you won't burst into flames then taking the bigger leaps won't feel as daunting.
You can do this. xx
What we think about is where our energy goes, so if you're still thinking about how your Ex is still being mean, you are holding him or her in that energy.
Try to notice what your thoughts are focusing on and if it doesn't serve you, try thinking about something else. ANYTHING else, something positive or take 5mins out to practice gratitude. Send good vibes to the person that you were feeling so bad towards... yes you can do this!
Changing your thoughts each time and using compassion is a direct YES to the Universe that you are ready to move on, upgrade your vibration and attract more of the good sweet stuff into your life.
Take a couple of minutes out each day and practice the cloud meditation on my story, this can help you become more aware of what you are thinking about... awareness is where it's at.

Let’s talk flexibility... 💭 •
We’re all so focused on going to the gym for our workouts, to keep ourselves healthy & our bodies fit, but how often are you really stretching your muscles? Flexibility is just as important and you need flexibility to perform day-to-day tasks.
I was never naturally ‘supple’ and I’ve had to really work to get to the level of flexibility I’m at now. Yoga has helped me so much, my body feels so much more lengthened since I started practising it.
But if yoga isn’t your thing & you want to work on your flexibility, take 5-10 minutes in a morning or before you go to bed, taking yourself through a series of stretches (touching your toes, glute stretches, butterfly pose) holding each pose for 30 seconds to a minute, and by doing this everyday, you will begin to feel & see a difference in your body. 🤸🏻♀️ •
My stretching today will be yoga focusing on the hamstrings after my morning workout. 💁🏻♀️Who else is stretching today?
