Con un poco de retraso pero voy a compartir lo que hice para la verbena de San Juan. El plan era de ir a la playa con unos amigos y hacer un picnic… me arrepentí de ir a la playa pero eso es otro tema! Total, que quizás os haya pasado de tener que llevar un plato para una fiesta y de entrar en el pánico porque queréis que a la gente guste lo que lleváis para que no empiecen a decir que es comida de conejos 🐰 y también porque estamos acostumbrados a pensar que con huevos, leche y embutidos todo es más fácil… La verdad es que no es así! Y a demostrarlo la quiche vegana que hice que tardó exactamente lo mismo que una normal! Luego si, hice unos rollitos primavera con salsa de cacahuetes que si que fueron un poco más de trabajo, per eso es porque quería que mis amigos se cayera la baba de verdad!! total, mis platos veganos fueron los primeros en volar.. éxito total!! 👏🏼🎉 Como los rollitos son muy fáciles de hacer pero no exactamente rápidos (y la promesa es la de compartir recetas fáciles y razonablemente rápidas) de momento no voy a compartir la receta aquí (a menos que no me la pidáis, por supuesto!). También es verdad que hice 30…por lo que eso también lo hizo más largo!

#Malefertility is being irreversibly damaged by a diet of western #junkfood by the time men reach 18, a study has found.
A groundbreaking investigation has established that teenagers who favour high-fat and processed foods like pizzas, chips and snacks are killing off sperm-producing cells that can never be replaced.
It showed that a diet dominated by fish, chicken, vegetables and fruit is best is for protecting those cells and ensuring healthy levels of #sperm .
#Spermcount have been declining in recent decades and various studies have pointed to poor diet as a significant cause.
However, they have tended to focus on older men - those in their late 20s, 30s and 40s who are struggling to conceive.
By contrast, the new #HarvardUniversity investigation shows for the first time that poor diet while growing up may reduce a man’s chances of fathering children for the rest of his life.
Experts believe processed food starved of antioxidants places sperm-producing cells under “oxidative stress”, ultimately killing them.
Professor Allan Pacey from the Universitybof Sheffield, a leading authority on sperm, said: “This just shows the power of diet to the way that testicles function. “The concern would be that poor diet younger in life makes a change that sticks with you.” The #Harvard researchers accessed the data of nearly 3,000 men who underwent a medical examination upon starting national service in the #Danish armed forces.
The average age was 19.
From the responses to a dietary questionnaire, four types of diet were identified: a “Western” diet characterised by red meat, processed meat, fatty and sugary food and drink; a “prudent” diet comprising mainly chicken, fish, vegetables and fruit; a “Smørrebrød” diet cold processed meats, whole grains, mayonnaise, cold fish, condiments, and dairy; and a traditional vegetarian diet, involving lots of vegetables, soya milk and eggs.
Have you ever tried mochi? They are delicious pounded rice cakes which puff up in the oven and crisp on the outside, while staying soft and gooey in the middle. This is a Japanese dish called Isobeyaki using ingredients from my fave company @clearspringuk Brown rice mochi dipped in tamari and wrapped in nori seaweed. Quick and delicious. My popular request, re-sharing my CHIPOTLE BLACK BEAN & SWEET POTATO CHILI. This is one of my go-to meal prep staples 👌🏼 Trust me, after trying this you will never want to buy chili from a can again. It’s that good!
This hearty #plantbased bowl is easy to pack for lunch with a side of cooked greens. The spiciness is on boarder of mild-medium, but you can do less or more chipotle peppers to adjust to your likeness.
To make the CHIPOTLE BLACK BEAN & SWEET POTATO CHILI, you will need:
• 2 cans (or 30 Oz soaked and cook) black beans, drained and rinsed (BPA-free)
• 1 large sweet potato, cubed (I used sweet potatoes roasted and prepped for the week)
• 1 can diced tomatoes
• 1/2 yellow onion, chopped
• 2 cloves garlic, chopped
• The juice from one medium lime
• 2 Embasa chipotle peppers + 1 tbsp adobo sauce, blended
• 1 1/2 cup water
• 1/4 cup cilantro
• 2 tsp ground cumin
• 1 tsp coriander
• 1 tsp paprika
• 1 tsp chili powder
• 1 tbsp 100% maple syrup • Himalayan Sea Salt
Start by adding 1 1/2 cup water, chipotle peppers, and adobo sauce to a small food processor/blender/NutriBullet and pulse blend until smooth. Add all ingredients + blended liquid to a large pot and cook over low to medium heat for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Note: the sweet potato should be cubed and roasted at 400 F for 35 minute before adding to the chili. Serve warm and top with @co_yo_usa unsweetened coconut yogurt and chopped cilantro or parsley. Enjoy!

--- Ingredients :
I. Crust :
1/2 cup pitted dates
1/2 cup almond
II. Filling :
1 cup quick-soaked cashews (1-2 hours)
65 ml coconut milk (or 1 small pack of)
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp Herbilogy rosella extract powder
Blueberry, strawberry, cocoa powder as desired
I. Crust : - Blend dates first until it forms into a ball. Once done, remove & set aside
- Blend almonds. You can blend it until smooth but if you want some crunch, blend it to little pieces (not necessarily smooth). Afterwards, blend along with the previous dates “ball” back until it forms sticky dough
- Scoop out the dough for 1 tbsp & press it in muffin tin (but first you need to grease your tin or put muffin cases to make it easier to remove)
- Freeze for 30 minutes
II. Filling :
- Blend all the ingredients for the filling. You can add blueberries, strawberries, cocoa powder for different flavor. Once done pour into the tin (that already consists the crust), pour evenly each
- Freeze until hard for min. 4 hours
- Once set, remove the muffin cases, serve & top with toppings you like.

I’ve been spending a lot of time in the garden and researching the benefits of different plants and herbs trying to be sustainable as possible and wanted to incorporate more palms and low maintenance plants in my home, I cleared out the root system of this plant that I already had growing wild in the garden and took pieces off and potted them; This is what I found out in the process, the name of this plant is called:
Sansevieria trifasciata it is a species of flowering plant in the family Asparagaceae, native to tropical West Africa from Nigeria east to the Congo. It is most commonly known as the snake plant, mother-in-law's tongue, and viper's bowstring hemp. •
•The Snake Plant, or Mother-in-Law's Tongue, is one of the most recommended plants for improving air quality. The optimal place to keep this relatively inexpensive and low-maintenance plant is the bedroom, because it converts CO2 into oxygen at night.
•The Snake Plant cleans air better than most other indoor plants as it has the ability to absorb excessive amounts of carbon monoxide. Additionally, it emits oxygen and filters other toxins from the air such as benzene, xylene, trichloroethylene and formaldehyde which is found in most common hairsprays!
Chana Masala or known as Chickpea Masala w/ Cilantro Brown Rice and Wheat Pitta🌱
3 tbsp Grape seed oil 2 Red onions chopped
2 Garlic cloves minced 2 tbsp Fresh ginger paste 3 Small fresh Serrano chili seeded and diced 2 tbsp Chana masala spice blend (optional) or lemon juice
1 tbsp @bragglivefoodproducts Nutrional Yeast • 1tsp Paprika
• 1tsp Onion salt • 1 tbsp Ground cumin • tsp Ground turmeric • tbsp Ground garam masala •1/2 tsp Kosher salt •28 Oz can diced fire roasted tomatoes •2 15 Oz cans chickpeas or 1 1/2 cups rinsed and cleaned •1 tsp amchur (dried mango powder)
Instructions: •In a large stock pot or skillet add the oil and sauté the onions until almost golden. •Next add the garlic, ginger paste, chiles, chana masala, cumin, turmeric, garam masala and salt. Pulse until chopped fine, but not pureed. Scrape mixture into onions. •Add diced tomatoes and chickpeas (reserve 1 can chickpea liquid) if using caned to the onions. Slowly simmer for 30 minutes. •Add the mango powder, lemon juice and stir to incorporate completely. Season to taste. If the mixture is too thick feel free to dilute with water or chickpea liquid.
* You can also substitute traditional ghee for the oil.
*If you choose to use dried chickpeas instead of the canned (2-15 oz cans): Rinse and clean the 1 cup dried beans. Cover with cool water and soak overnight (or used canned if preferred). Drain and set aside. Rinse beans and place in a large stock pot, cover with water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium and cook until the chickpeas are tender, about 90 minutes.
Pickled Cucumber Salad 🌱
•1 Pound mixed cucumbers like English cucumbers sliced into 1/4 inch rounds
•1/2 Red onion peeled and thinly sliced
•1/4 Cup of pumpkin seeds
•2 Teaspoons kosher salt
•1 Teaspoons date sugar
•2 Teaspoons white balsamic vinegar
•2 Teaspoons apple cider vinegar
•1/4 Cup fresh dill leaves chopped
•Splash of spring water
Combine the sliced cucumbers in a colander set inside a medium size bowl and sprinkle with the salt and sugar. Place in the refridgerator for about an hour. Drain the cucumbers. Add the onion, vinegars, water and dill. Serve or refrigerate. The cucumbers will become more pickled as they sit and brine.
“Cooling foods” like cantaloupe summers here hydrate from fruits and veggies. Try researching your Dosha and know what types of foods work with your body I’m Vata/Kapha so rooted foods are better for me and easily digestible cooked foods, some raw foods are suggested and I should steer from dry processed foods like crackers. ✨🌱✨Be your best you!
