Don’t mind me ... I’m still reliving my vacay, sorting through pictures and savoring my memories 🙆🏼♀️ ... The LataLiana Villas and Spa was the second place we stayed in Bali. It was the kind of place tropical 🌴 dreams are made of ... tucked neatly away from the hustle and bustle, this dreamy and serene Villa was the perfect setting for our yoga retreat!
We shared the common areas with fellow yogis, ate meals together, practiced yoga together, laughed, cried and even had the most epic karaoke session of my life!! Meeting and bonding with our new friends made our trip to Bali so much more meaningful. We are grateful for the people we met here, some of the interactions have left impressions on my heart that I will hold dear and near for years to come.
The Villa staff and our tour bus driver treated us like family, addressed us always by name, memorized our coffee orders and I had the most amazing massage 💆🏼 of my life!!! For real, y’all!! This place sounds too good to be true, but it really is this amazing! I am forever transformed ... this place filled my heart, my belly, cleared my mind and nourished my soul. Spend a week here and I guarantee you’ll leave a new person!!!
Cake or tea? I decided for a tea flavored cake instead.
In frame: tea flavored butter cake.
Location: Damro,Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka
There's nothing better than sitting down with this tea cake and some fruit or spice flavored tea midst the hills of Nuwara Eliya.
Golden Butter cake is one of the classic cakes in Sri Lanka and topped with some caramel and tea flavoring with a little cinnamon. It was a wonderful delight for my taste buds and accompanied green tea so well.
This combination is one of my favorites and to die for.
The cake was fluffy and moist and on the sweeter side because of the caramelized sugar and there was some crunchiness of sugar crystals and mild tea flavorings though not very distinctive but cinnamon and caramel spoke for themselves.
You can try making this classic cake at home as well and enjoy it with some ceylon tea.
