Here is an integral feather that I’ve been working on. It started as a 240mm knife, but as the old adage goes... knife makers done make mistakes, just smaller knives. There was an inclusion near the tip that forced me to shorten the blade. The handle is ironwood burl with black g10 and brass. You should be gripping the knife mainly with the thumb and forefinger. If you find that you're tightly clutching the entire handle of the knife, just relax and loosen your hold and let the weight of the knife cut through the food. With practice, you'll soon get used to this grip.
