W-O-W. Just wow. .
What an amazing little trip. In 2018 I asked my sister if she’d want to hike this with me if I won a permit. Month after month I kept trying until I got a different email. June 1st I found out we won the lottery for September 15th!! I was ecstatic and felt extremely fortunate. I had heard of people trying for 3 years! And today the Ranger at The Wave (yes, someone hikes it every day to make sure you have a permit. It’s a $10,000 fine if you don’t) told us he knew someone who tried for 10 years! A couple we met out there said their friends tried for 10 years as well. 😧 When you apply you have less than a 1% chance of winning a permit. It was seriously a once in a lifetime opportunity & super happy I got to share it with my sister. Absolutely breathtaking!! #thewavearizona#bucketlist

Prepping me for my night flight to LA. I don’t know you guys, but I hate being in a hurry before my hotel pick up, cause I know once I get to the airplane I will be running from here to there. So I like to take my time, put some good music on and drink tea or coffee.
Stainless steel waves 🌊 at Walt Disney Concert Hall
Walking through this uniquely designed concert hall gave me the inspiration to pick up piano again 🎶 I passed the ARCT (performer's certificate) in highschool and I haven't really played the piano since 🎹

RIOMAGGIORE - CINQUE TERRE
It’s a village located in the National Park of Cinque Terre (UNESCO World Heritage Site), in a valley between two steep hills. Riomaggiore was named after Rivus Major: the stream that still flows underneath the main street. This small town is composed by parallel rows of houses with pastel coloured façades and slate-roof (torri genovesi) following the steep course of the stream.
From a historical point of view, the nucleus of the village dates back to the 13th century, when the inhabitants of the neighbouring settlements descended from the hills in order to exploit the natural resources of the sea. When Italy was unified at the end of the 19th century, many rail lines were built and Cinque Terre emerged from a historical isolation. Today this territory brings tourists from all over the world.
The local economy, once based almost exclusively on agriculture (especially the cultivation of vines), today is based primarily on tourism: thanks to the beauty of the terraced landscape that local inhabitants built turning the natural forests and steep slopes into cultivated terraces.
All major attractions are walkable, the main ones are Via dell'Amore and the Medieval Castle. Via dell’Amore is a path connecting Riomaggiore and Manarola, while the medieval castle is a fortification located in the high part of the village, that was built in 1260 as a protection from the frequent pirate attacks. The main tourist street is Via Colombo, which links the high part of the city with the tiny harbour: perfect location to take amazing pictures. In this street you can find numerous restaurants, bars and shops. I recommend you to wander off the main street and get a feel for local life.
Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🧡💛💚💙💜 CAMOGLI 💜💙💚💛🧡
Camogli is a fishing village and tourist city located in the bright blue Ligurian Sea, in the northwest Italy. Even though in the late Middle Ages the city was a considerable seaport, nowadays it lives mainly from tourism, as it is considered one of the most beautiful towns in the region.
Camogli is a picturesque town with extremely high tenements clustered together fronting the sea, a bunch of multi-coloured houses, a picturesque harbour with fishing boats and a little fortress. The most notable of these brightly coloured buildings is that most of its hutters, decorations and sometimes windows are simply painted on the walls with great skill, planned perspective and shadows. Each one has a different colour. It had a crucial importance because colors once helped the fishermen to easier recognise his own house when he returned from fishing. The streets among the houses are narrow and some of them are even replaced by series of stairs.
Regarding to the name of the town, one story suggests it comes from the translation that means “houses packed closely together” because this is what you note when you walk among the alleys of this fishing village. But the most romantic story about the origin of the name is the one that says it comes from the combination of the Italian words case + moglie, meaning houses of wives. Camogli was always a fishing village and when fishermen sailed out to the sea, their wives were left at their homes, waiting anxiously for the happy return of their husbands. According to this belief, those wives, who looked from the windows searching boats on the horizon, gave the name of the town.
