Built in the late 1800s, Central Chambers is a National Historic Site in Ottawa that's renowned for being a fine example of the Queen Anne Revival Style in commercial architecture. It sits prominently at the corner of Elgin Street and Queen Street across from the Canadian War Memorial and just down the road from Parliament Hill. | #ExploreCanada#MyOttawa@explorecanada@ottawatourism

Wine tasting in the picturesque villages of the Alsace region 🍷 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The wineries here are small & family owned, many of which have been passed down for generations & generations. The tasting are private and you often need to make appointments because there are only a handful of people that work there (3-5 fam members) and they are busy harvesting grapes, bottling, etc. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The wine making history here is so rich and the wine owners love to tell you all about it during the tasting ✨
Behind every shot I take lies a story. This story begins with our alarm clocks blaring at two in the morning. Exhausted, @Brooksill and I drove across @visitsouthtyrol, sharing our live stories to keep each other awake. We arrived at the base at four, and with headlamps strapped to our foreheads and our bodies covered in layers, we began to ascend the behemoth known as Seceda.
The hike was strenuous; the six kilometre trek up, which was almost completely uphill, took a little over two hours to complete. It was just us. Two strangers, who had met only a day before, slowly making their way through the eerie, pitch darkness. As we climbed up the mountain, the sun began to follow along, slowly illuminating our path, revealing the vast landscape that was surrounding us. The contour of distant mountains began to take form as Brook and I arrived at the summit. Huddled together in the freezing cold, we sat in each other’s company at the top of the mountain as we waited patiently for the sun to pour it’s warmth onto us. We watched as the alpenglow illuminate the peaks, the golden light filling the valleys beneath us.
What makes this shot special to me isn’t necessarily how I photographed or edited it, but rather the journey and memories behind it that makes me love it. When I see this photo, I remember the moments. I remember being out of breath every few minutes (I am pretty out of shape okay lol). How Brook and I, two absolute strangers, bonded. How we encouraged each other to keep going. The sense of wonder and awe as we stargazed during our little breaks. The feeling of accomplishment.
It began with a goal and a plan to make to make it happen. It required dedication. In darkness, we preserved and relied on our faith that the path set in front of us would guide us to where we needed to be. It took time and effort, but when all was said and done, we were rewarded with one of the most beautiful sights I have ever laid eyes on.
