TIME & CONSISTENCY -
in our world, everbody wants to have results as fast as possible and thinks that if they diet for 4 weeks they will be ripped af. after the first three weeks of weight lifting they can‘t see results and are dissapointed that they aren‘t massive. that‘s not how it works, this shit takes TIME.⏱ -
we‘re shown so much fake transformations and photoshopped pictures on social media platforms which gives us a completely wrong impression of how this is working. you can‘t expect to loose 5kg of bodyfat or gain 10kg of lean mass in a week. neither is it going to be easy. -
the main focus should stay on the big picture and the long term. everybody makes mistakes, I did a lot wrong in the past and I‘m learning everday, but the point that counts is being consistent and patient. don‘t give up because something isn‘t working atm. don‘t throw your diet structures away just because you didn’t hit your macros once. don‘t change your training because you had one bad session. STAY CONSISTENT and think about your long term goals. what‘s one bad day of 1000? almost nothing. 🤔 -
if you stay on track with your training and nutrition, put effort in and don‘t let small things get you off track, you WILL achieve your goals if you stick to them over a long period of time. -
this transformation of myself should only show, that EVERYONE can do it. I‘m just the average guy, no fancy genetics or anything. the only thing that I can is work hard and stay disciplined over a long period of time. and this attitude wasn‘t given, it was acquired. so YOU can do it too. -

What has the MetSkill team been up to this week?
Sam has been at PPM. Facilitating Fire Assay Training. The class was small but exuberant. The Lab already abuzz with the training. With everyone asking now-and-then as to when their turn would be.
Peter has been at Somkhele, conducting Laboratory training. The learners completed their Formative Assessments today.

Great morning for a quick run. Do something everyday that inspires you to grow. Without growth we become complacent with life and often do not fullfil our mission in life.
Now the dust has settled, here is a run down of how the competition went!
100m row - 2nd - 18.5s
First event and I let nerves get the better of me, technique went to complete shit. Wasn't happy with my performance at all.
Max squat - 2nd - 120kg
After @lxfrench squatted 130kg, I knew I wouldn't get 1st in this event, so kept my best squat at 120kg to conserve energy.
Max push ups - 2nd - 44 reps
Thought I would get about 15 😂
100 cal assault bike - 1st - 7:04
Smashed my previous best time by over 30s so hugely happy with that. Probably the best I've ever felt on the bike, felt solid and I maintained pace very well.
1 mile run - 2nd
Only had about 5 minutes of rest between bike and run, and consequently died a death. I usually love running, and thought that event would have been great for me so I was disappointed.
Max jerk - 1st - 62.5kg
5kg PB. l could have squeezed out a bit more but I had already won the event so again, kept some energy in the tank.
Max deadlift - 2nd - 142.5kg
Pulled 140kg, then so did @anastaciap25 so I had to pull 142.5kg to secure 2nd place. Unfortunately also pissed myself, which can happen with heavy deads 😂 only 2.5kg under comp PB, and not even sumo 👀
Max pull ups - 1st equal - 7 reps
Thought I would get about 7 reps. Pullups aren't my strongest so was happy to get that.
Max burpees 2 minutes - 2nd - 41 reps
Could maybe have squeezed a couple of extra reps out but my nose was running really badly and it distracted me 😂
Gym triathalon - 1500m row, 50 cal bike, 1500m ski - 2nd - 17:20
Definitely the toughest event of the day, but I trusted my ability to grind through and keep moving, that's my wheelhouse. Paid off 😉
To be honest, I was slightly disappointed with my performance. I know that seems daft, as I placed first or second in every event, but I trained intensively for 12 weeks for this event and felt I didn't show everything I could do. Unfortunately that was the result of having a horrible cold all week, and I didn't feel 100% better by Sunday.
Just need to wait for next year's event to prove myself! Rumour has it that it will be mixed doubles 👀

Как любому тренеру, мне очень хочется дисциплины. Потому что это прямой путь к результату.
Так что отменять тренировку стоит только в том случае, если вы больны или начинаете заболевать. Все остальное очень сильно расслабляет😔
