Cue stress headache. I’m just going to call this a #portrait and that’s that. It’s of nobody. Shush it you, you who thinks they see someone they know. You’re imagining things again. It’s not him. He’s defeated me too many times. This. Is ...Unknown.

How I need 2019 to be over.
I have no clue how has been for you, but for me 2019 has been absolutely terrible. Losing close people, financial and bureaucracy problems, anxiety, depression and other health issues...luckily there's less than one month left to turn the page.
That's why I am currently working on some christmas to be sent to some certain people.
One of the good things of this year has been some nice people I've met and I already consider friends. On the other hand I've lost touch with others, some of them friends since some years ago. I am aware I haven't been as careful as I wanted and I've been off a great part of the year, but when things are going wrong I tend to close to myself and try to get my shit together. For me is quite hard to be in a good mood when everything's falling apart, so I prefer not to bother anyone and try to pass it by myself.
So this Yule, maybe for 1st time in my life, I'll send some christmas to wish you the best on 2020 and let you know that even I am 'off', I'm still here.
I'll upload them on HQ for the rest of people who want to have them printed.
Thanks for your infinite support.
Close ups of strands of yarn is another thing I had hoped to be able to draw when I got “good”. Not good but there is no day like today. So a strand of alpaca yarn. Closeups of yarn are heard because in a balanced yarn the strands in the middle look almost straight the outside strands on each side have different angles. Anyway I have to keep doing it till I get it right. #learningtodraw#yarnart#tonedpaper
Ink on toned paper! I have such a love and affinity for ink and any water medium. I love the feeling of the tip of the brush on the paper. It helps me with any perfectionistic tendencies I have because I have to work with whatever mark I make.
I am also sad because basic drawing has been outrageously fun. I've improved so much because of this class, and I am going to miss the close knit 9 people in that class😢❤ Best morning class I have ever taken °
KO-FI AND THE PERFECT SKETCHBOOK QUEST
7/? Dinosaur for #dinocember 2019
I got a new sketchbook dedicated to studies. I it's not holding water too well but I have seen worse. Now, I'm crazy about sketchbooks to flip through them; it shows progress so well. Keeping related things together and looked organized. However, when it comes to scanning, it's long to flip the page with my archaic scanner and most of my sketchbooks don't lay flat. Moleskine does lay flat but that's very expensive for someone who's into daily art*. Neither the spiral binding of cheaper options makes my life easier. I would appreciate any Ko-Fi thumbs up donation as I will have to consider buying a large format scanner one day. Or a book reader that flatten the bump of books, or if a new model of handheld scanner becomes available, that would be great too. I already invested in a graphic tablet this month to be better at digitally color my work. Which means less money on posca or trying to get inks of all colors. As a consequence, now is a good time to show appreciation because that toy left a dinosaur footprint hole in my budget. Thank you my dear followers, your regular support is also a wonderful motivation fuel. (see the two previous dino posts for stories and credit)
as an example there's 60 pages in a Moleskine watercolor sketchbook and I get it at 27 $ with taxes approximately. If I used solely that for daily art, that would mean 164,24$ Can for a year. Not mentioning the other craft supplies like inks, pens, nibs erasers and so on. I can't do that at the moment as I am the only one monetary investing in my art journey.
