🎣🏆 TIPS FOR THE @cod_classic_
Finding the winning fish is on the mind of every competitor...and we want you to have the unfair advantage, so here are our top tips.
1️⃣ DIVERSIFY YOUR TECHNIQUES
Start with your go-to technique but if it doesn’t work, mix it up. Cast to the banks and standing stumps early in the competition and if this goes quiet troll the deeper channels of the riverbed.
2️⃣ SUBTLETY IS KEY
avoid using loud and rattling lures. If you want to troll or use hardbody lures, use silent modes, and use willow blades on your spinnerbaits. Swimbaits with single hooks are worth throwing at large logs in shallow water. Use wakebait surface lures in those low light periods and avoid the main traffic, find the quiet areas in the lake.
3️⃣ KEY SPOTS
a few key spots that are worth fishing are; up around Bundalong in the river. Large fish sit down in the river channel and this is worth fishing as the competition gets on. Another option is to troll and cast the main bridge in the basin, some giant cod live along here.
