📍Fortnum & Mason // I’ve heard mixed reviews about the afternoon tea at @fortnums for the longest time, and being the biggest fan of the store itself, I knew I had to try it and find out 👀
We had a set of both the sweet and savoury afternoon tea. I’ve heard that the savoury set is better than the sweet, but I really don’t think that’s true. The sweet set had lovely cakes and pastries - similar to any other pastries you’d find in an afternoon tea set. On the other hand, the savoury food was just odd. Some savoury pastries were alright but I definitely remember a pea-flavoured one that was just so unpleasant. I’d definitely stick to the sweet afternoon tea set!
The tea is lovely and I really loved the atmosphere, but maybe that’s just because I love the atmosphere of afternoon tea ☺️ it’s so nice to sit with a friend and go through teapot after teapot of tea while enjoying pastries and catching up! It’s especially nice when you’re surrounded by such beautiful tea sets and decor.
In terms of the price, it’s now £60pp (pretty sure this used to be around £52), which is distinctly more expensive than some of the other “fancy” afternoon tea places. You do get to choose a slice of cake per person to take home, which is nice, and you can also keep the jars of Fortnum & Mason lemon curd and strawberry jam like I did 😝 Overall, I did enjoy tea here but it didn’t blow me away and should probably be saved for a special occasion! 💎
Literally a week ago, I got the honor to accompany my best friend as her date for her honours class evening ball, an event people in our accounting faculty look forward to. I had an amazing time with amazing people, friends and of course our lecturers. Tbh besides spending time with my friend with our friends and her friends, I went for the food and a good time on a Friday night. Their dinner did not disappoint for the event but it was your average Jill standard 3 course meal. For those planning to have an event at this place with amazing forestry views, be glad to know that they also cater as well! Meals to fill the tummy? Yes! Meals that are tantalizing and mouthwatering? Debatable. But I should put it out there that they brownie desert was out of this world, okay maybe this city, it was the best chewy, gooey and peanutty brownie I’ve ever had to this day.
CALABAZA RELLNA ✨

🌱 Ingredientes: (1 porción) mitad de calabaza cocida (horno fuerte hasta q este tierna) - 1 cebolla - 1 huevo - cuch queso untable - poquin salsa de soja - condimentos .
🌱 Procedimiento: Ahuecar y reservar el contenido en un boul aparte (es clave no sacarle tooodo lo de adentro para q no pierda la forma). Cortar una cebollita y saltearla con poquito de agua (para evitar aceites), cucharita de salsa de soja y poco de stevia (o cualquier endulzante). Una vez cocidas, ponerlo en el boul con el relleno de la calabaza y agregar una cuchara de queso untable, sal pimienta y nuez moscada. Integramos todo y rellenamos la cascara de calabaza. Agregamos un huevo arriba (opcional, sino pueden ponerlo en la mezcla anterior e integrarlo). Llevar a horno precalentado a 180 grados unos 20 min hasta q veas q esta cocido el huevo y WALA 😏🤤! .

BSG Breakfast Sandwich earning double piggy points with pork belly and bacon, fried egg, cheddar cheese, and an awesome maple rosemary aoili on pretzel bun. Triple scoff score for the pretzel bun!
Hefty hash browns topped with sauted red onion and bacon really topped the tanks up, which is great, because today we tackle Signal Hill!
Fall is officially here🍂 even though most days it may not feel like it in 87F humidity here in South Florida.
But to compensate for that, all the fall candles have been lit, the AC is set low and I am whipping up alllll the fall recipes including this one!
Say hello to my Brussels sprouts salad with pumpkin vinaigrette🎃
Its phenomenal and the pumpkin vinaigrette was so easy to make using @traderjoes pumpkin butter, balsamic, and olive oil. It accented the Brussels perfectly and had me fully in the fall spirit. •
