We are often asked if social media is an effective tool to communicate into remote Northern Territory communities. Without data on the usage of mobile phones in those regions, it is difficult to understand if there is genuine uptake in the use of social media.
Captovate recently ran a Territory wide social media campaign that proves social media is a well used tool in remote communities.
Over a one week campaign, where we targeted messaging into specific communities, we had some impressive stats:
We created a landing page which required the user to click through for more information. A total of 1,582 people clicked the link. This excludes the key urban areas of Darwin and surrounds, Katherine and Alice Springs.
