Breakfast: Mine and Hers (➡️) We both have eggs and whole grain English muffins. 🍳🥑 I made mine with avocado (healthy fat) 🍳🧀 I scrambled hers with cheese (healthy fat) 🥕 I had a side of leftover butternut squash noodles (veggie) 🍇 She had a side of grapes (fruit)
Little customizations rather than entirely separate meals make cooking a LOT easier!!
And we both get yummy, filling, healthy breakfasts!
Tonight, in the span of less than an hour, I:
Put away the groceries🍓🥒🍇🥬
Cut 2 acorn squash 🌰 in half, seasoned them, and put them in the oven to roast along with a wrapped up sweet potato 🥔
Cooked up some ground turkey 🍗 for breakfasts
Made these dinners you see before you 🍝 (frozen meatballs for the girly, chicken sausage for me, butternut squash noodles and ziti pasta for both of us)
I'm not telling you this to toot my own horn 🎺. I'm telling you this to show you that prepping food for future use does NOT have to be a 4-hour weekend ordeal! We all lead different lives, so do what works for you and your fam!

Sometimes we let one area of our life suffer as we try to attain a goal.
2008 vs. 2019 .
2008- At the age of 29 -I was holding down a Full-time job and going to graduate school full time. I was supporting myself while completing a 60 credit Masters in Education. I was WORKING HARD but on a goal that required hours of
sitting in classes -
sitting at a desk-
sitting at a computer typing reports.
That sedentary lifestyle packed on the pounds and I’m about 30 lbs LIGHTER now and over 10 years older. .
My priorities SHiFTED!
That is the internal transformation that is essential in order to experience the EXTERNAL change.
People might value one point of focus (academic achievements vs. physical strength) over the other--
And that is OK!
Do what works for YOU!!
The point of this post is to provoke thoughts within you...

When food is this real, fresh, and delicious, you don't NEED the artificial extras! 🚫Preservatives
🚫Chemicals 🥞The must haves to make these pancakes delicious AND healthy??🥞
Replace half the ap flour with whole wheat flour
Replace half the white sugar with coconut sugar
Replace half the butter with applesauce
Add a splash of pure vanilla extract
Use REAL (reduced fat) buttermilk!
You keep the light, buttery pancake flavor while cutting back on the sweetness and simple carb content, not to mention the fat.
Drizzle a little pure maple syrup over the top, and you're ready to dig in!! (Pink coloring per my little girl's request! 💗)

Today I finally managed a tiny little #invertedarmbalance.
I did it twice, actually.
Each time lasted only a couple of seconds.
And I crashed over HARD a couple of times on my way there.
But this was a HUGE accomplishment for me mentally. My fear of falling over is so much bigger than the physical ability to just DO the balance.
And today, even after smashing my foot through the doors of my daughter's #docmcstuffins station (oh, the irony!), I didn't let that fear stop me!! Every step toward your goal is worth celebrating. 🎉
Because when you hit even a fraction of a milestone, you get to look back and see how far you've come!! 👣👣
Do I look more like a boy or girl!?
Most of the time people guess I’m a girl from my looking🤣 Today was the other time that person asked my mum ‘what’s her name ?’ even I was wearing Navy coloured tops and black pants 😆Mummy told me that I’ll grow up to be a smart, strong, handsome big boy so not too worry 🥰

My daughter would NEVER wear shorts so small & tight or crop tops or make up or have piercings/tattoos... NEVER!!👀🤯👀
Me as Asher's mama--
My daughter is smart, kind, funny, athletic, caring and loving- what she wears is pretty low on the list of priorities. Who knew??? ✌
💕 I pray you always feel comfortable in your own skin, confident and believe that you can do anything you set your sights on 🙏
And Jesus If you could please help them to not be assholes to each other, and not lose those new glasses, and to save majority of her sass for home to stay out of the office and detention.. amen .

Have you ever been SUPER successful with a goal for a vacation 🏖 or a wedding 👗, but then had NO motivation after? (👋 so me!). This is MUCH more common than you think. 😕
And it's because we ALL need a 🎯 to shoot for. Without a purpose, we lack the drive to do the work. And that's where so many of us find it challenging to get the motivation to achieve their goals. If you haven't pinpointed and written out a real goal, you'll find it harder to drive toward that goal.
Which is why my accountability community and fitness challenges are THE BEST!! 💣

completing a fitness program
completing a nutrition program
or just completing 100 workouts
A challenge is a specific behavior you commit to for a specific amount of time.
THAT is when I'm at my best (when MOST of us are, tbh!). When I have a timeline, a schedule laid out for me, and I'm 100% ear on what I need to do to be successful, it becomes EASY to execute!
So, what about you? How do YOU keep up the motivation to achieve your goals?
☀️Mornings have become my sanity saver! 🧠💗 It's the only, tiny bit of time that I can have truly to myself, before anyone else wakes up, and the day goes zooming off. And trust me, I *still* go back and forth between hitting snooze and jumping out of bed at the crack of dawn.
But I truly believe that how I start the day really determines my mood for all the hours that follow. When I get up and move my body (whether I break a sweat or flow through some asanas), do a little self reflection, squeeze in a few minutes of reading, that's when I get through my day the best I can. ⚡More energized.

Got in hubby's older kayak for the first time ever ( @swingr1121 got himself a second one earlier this summer), and paddled around in the #wildwood#christmasinjuly#boatparade.
It was SO much fun getting out on the water as a family! We took our niece out with us, too, and she loved it!
A week ago, I was working out with this red-headed badass and her crew. (She's a fellow Viking, so I feel a real connection there 😉⚡️) ⚡️ She is SO incredibly inspiring, uplifting, and empowering. She will drive you to find your BEST self, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. She is an incredibly loving soul who truly wants each and every person she encounters to BE better. To FEEL good about themselves. To LIVE to their full potential. If anyone can make you want to be 💯, it's HER!! ⚡️ Now look at the people standing with her. Some are tight and toned. Others may be carrying more weight than you typically see on someone leading a crowd through a workout. Make no mistake, though, every one of them is strong and powerful. Every one of them is embracing their bodies and abilities where they are now. Every one of them is giving THEIR 💯, whatever that may be. ⚡️ And that is in no small part thanks to this trainer and the program she has cultivated and led them through. ⚡️ She was my second trainer, leading me through the second program I'd ever done from start to finish. She took me WAY outside my comfort zone, but that push showed me how much MORE I was capable of doing than I'd ever given myself credit for. ⚡️ And now she's going to do it again. I believe that I CAN complete 💯 workouts (maybe in 100 days, but maybe in less or maybe in more; it's flexible!). ⚡️ I CAN beat the lingering doubts and feel better mentally and emotionally. ‼️BUT‼️

I was the skinny, gangly, shy girl who always wore off-brand clothes and shoes.
Who was more interested in books than makeup.
Who always wore her hair in a ponytail because I had no clue how to style it.
Who was quiet and reserved where other girls were loud and gregarious.
I was never a gorgeously styled, popular girl with the fashionable clothes or the boys lining up to date her.
I didn't go out to big parties.
I hung out with 1 or 2 select friends at a time.
I stayed home and played games like Tomb Raider and The Sims on our family computer.
I plowed through book series and played with dolls. ⚡Who you used to be does not define who you are now. ⚡You can reinvent yourself at any moment, in any season of your life. 🌟Your past does not define your future. So throw out what's not serving you, get rid of your doubts, and rise like a 🔥phoenix🔥 from the ashes.
On good days, workout.
On bad days, without harder. ..
Yesterday was definitely a bad day as my son and I were in a car wreck (we're ok, but car is not). I knew getting a workout in wouldn't take away the bad day, but I knew it would help my mood and help ease my anxiety. Dwelling on the bad won't help anything. ..
Plus...I made a commitment to myself and I wasn't going to break it. Finished day 46 of my 80 day program and as soon as I'm done with this program I'm jumping right in to a brand new 100 workout program!
