When people look at the hair I do in #skillscanadaalberta and say “no one would ACTUALLY wear that” most of the time you’re right! ... but Not for this lady! We combined a couple of my skills projects and made it a little more commercial and here we are!
Taking my skills to be clean and perfect in the competition have done me well every day in my career.
I love to see some creative people like myself in my chair especially when they say “do whatever you want!” And “do something fun like you do in your competition!” It warms my heart and makes me love what I do even more when they leave everything to me and they can just sit there and relax ❤️❤️ #lovemycareer#hairstylist#skillscanada#the9atwork#essentailskills#ESD2019
The trades are essential to building Canada. We are working hard to ensure that more Edmontonians, Albertans and Canadians are getting the critical skills they need for success by: ✔️Encouraging more young people to consider training and work in the skilled trades with a $40 million investment in #SkillsCanada; ✔️Introducing the #CanadaTrainingBenefit that will give workers the time and money to keep their skills up to date and in demand; and by ✔️Lowering the interest rate on #CanadaApprenticeLoans, making the first six months after completion of an apprenticeship interest-free. #HereForYeg#cdnpoli —
#IciPourYeg#polcan

Finally got around to posting again, the last couple months have been crazy. I competed in the NWT Territorial Skills Competition on May 3rd for Secondary Hairstyling, and received Gold. These are the only pictures I have of my two projects. The first is my Men’s Cut and Style with two wishes ( fade, wavy ) from the afternoon, the second my Colour and Bridal Updo with three wishes ( red colour, low bun, curls ) from the morning.
I went on to compete in the Skills Canada National Competition in Halifax later that month, but I haven’t received my results or any pictures from that competition yet. I’ll post them when I do.
Tout ça va extrêmement me manquer! Les journées d’entraînement, les rencontres extraordinaires que cette compétition nous as apportés, les voyages formidables, les journées intenses de compétition en plus de tout ces efforts donnés dans un seul but représenté le Canada au #worldskillskazan2019 ! #skillscanada#landscaping

my lovely lady from skills canada this year 😍🤪also just a bit of a side note, I have started my apprenticeship! oh my goshh things have been moving so fast since I graduated high school last year, i’m so excited to see where this next step in my life leads me ☺️ unfortunately I don’t have a lot of time for taking clients in at this point in my career as i’m working hard to learn and work my way up to getting licensed so this account might be a bit more slow than before ☹️ but i’ll try my best to keep doing friends and family’s hair and trying my hardest to post regularly! #haircut#skillscanada#hairstylist#haircreation#haircolorfun#haircolour#colours#hairstyle#skillsalberta#hair#gorgeoushair

This is the project we worked on during the Canada Skills competition. None of us completed it during the actual competition but I brought mine home and finished it. One mode allows control through gesture recognition, a hand swipe in one direction activates the light and uses measured distance above the sensor to set the dimmer value. A swipe in the opposing direction controls the color. The second mode uses the microphone with a spectrum multiplexer to control the brightness and color based on the dominant audio frequency. Here I've just uploaded the completed project code written by the Skills Canada facilitator. Pretty cool project all around. #electronics#led#skillscanada#scnc2019#engineering#skillsns#diy#technology
Calia Pacle had never heard of Skills Manitoba before this year. She just won gold at the national competition! She says baking has always been in her blood. For more, visit chvnradio.com (link in bio)
Just doing what I do 💻
More action shots from day 2 of the competition!
I am so incredibly proud of these two techs. I have spent the last 9 months getting to know and work with them on their journey to become a WorldSkills team Canada competitor - their journey led them to the Team Canada Selection Event that was held alongside the National Skills Canada Competition last week. Sadly, only one could move forward to Kazan..but both proved that they are very talented workers! It really came down to who did better on those days... I cannot wait to see what the future holds for these two, and I look forward to the last push of hard training to get to WorldSkills 💪 . . . . . . #worldskills2019#carpainting#competition#skillscanada#refinish#worldskills#painttech#trades#painter#skills#teamcanada#talent#apprentice#challenge

One of the major perks of volunteering with Skills Canada is working with amazing graphic designers from all across Canada. They all share a passion for design and helping the next generation see their potential. #skillscanada#goodpeopledoinggoodthings
Managed to pace first at provincials and 3rd at nationals in cabinetmaking. Also got the team spirit award for Alberta , still don’t know how that happened 🤷♂️ #abisskilled#skillscanada#didnotpractice
