Throughout Presentation One, an installation for the GNV was created to help promote the upcoming exhibition of ‘Xakara’. The finalised design of the installation has been placed out the front of the GNV so it would attract the attention of the general public while passing by.
The installation uses the theme of ‘modernism inspired by fashion’. It uses many aspects and characteristics of modernism within the design to help reflect the time period. Characteristics such as enlarged and cropped geometric shapes, colours and pattern. It also includes a touch of fashion as the final figure designed was based from a human figure.
The figures have been placed in a triangular formation which allows the general public to enter and exit the building freely without disruption. Bright and bold colours are used from the characteristics of modernism to capture the attention of the general public to stop, look and possibly take photos with them which will further promote the exhibition.
The Mohabbattein Project is when I was asked a simple question - How do I come up with and idea and execute a project?! This video shows my motivation, my inspiration and basically the things I did to get The Mohabbattein Project done! Unlike the song used in the video, By Otis Redding - Cigarettes and Coffee were the two things I did not use!! How I create -
I force myself up.
I dance a bit more to find my groove.
I go to a Museum.
I go to another Museum.
I look around the City to get inspiration.
Dance a few more times.
Take a glitter bomb bath!
Then finally find my groove and make the leaves!
