Screamin' Jay Hawkins
July 18, 1929 – February 12, 2000
Musician, singer, and actor. Famed chiefly for his powerful, operatic vocal delivery and wildly theatrical performances of songs such as "I Put a Spell on You", Hawkins sometimes used macabre props onstage, making him one of the few early shock rockers ♥️ #screaminjayhawkins#musician#singer#soulmusic#music#iputaspellonyou

Curses!!! There is several type of curses and it's known by various names: hexes, jinxes, bad eye, root, salaciones, etc.
Depending on the type is the work you need. Don't think a generational curse or a heavy one can be taken away with just a bath. You are gonna have to invest some pretty penny. Sometimes you might have to go to therapy to deal with those family jinxes. Herbs are powerful! Spiritual baths are amazing, but if you really believe you are hexed, my recommendation is to seek a trusted practicioner and get a heavy cleanse. It might be a several days proccess. Sometimes they work in layers and a bath can remove or debilitate a layer to give the chance to work on the rest. .

Happy Birthday to
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Hawkins studied classical piano as a child and learned guitar in his 20s. His initial goal was to become an opera singer (Hawkins cited Paul Robeson as his musical idol in interviews), but when his initial ambitions failed, he began his career as a conventional blues singer and pianist.
He joined the US Army with a forged birth certificate in 1942, and allegedly served in a combat role, with his fellow soldiers and higher-ups around him somehow remaining completely oblivious to the fact he was underage.
During this time, he also entertained the troops as part of his service.
Hawkins was an avid and formidable boxer during his years on the US Army's boxing circuit. In 1949, he was the middleweight boxing champion of Alaska. In 1951, he joined guitarist Tiny Grimes' band, and was subsequently featured on some of Grimes' recordings.
When Hawkins became a solo performer, he often performed in a stylish wardrobe of leopard skins, red leather, and wild hats.

I love wild weirdies, and that's why I featured #ScreaminJayHawkins in my Halloween party poster for so many years.
Just wanted to take a moment to remember him today on the anniversary of his birth.
Screamin’ Jay Hawkins became a blues singer when his dreams of singing opera didn’t pan out. It wasn’t until 1956 that things did work out for him. Using all sorts of whoops, hollers and grunts, an unmistakable classic called ‘I Put A Spell On You’ was born. Hawkins would perform using all manner of voodoo props, emerging from a coffin, wearing a cape and carrying a smoking skull on a stick named ‘Henry.’ No recording of his was ever as successful, but his catalogue, which contained worthy sides including ‘Alligator Wine,’ ‘Little Demon,’ and ‘Constipation Blues,’ often performed with a toilet on stage, have all reached cult status. His roles in several films, including Jim Jarmusch’s ‘Mystery Train,’ are all worth checking out. Upon his death a search was put out to find his illegitimate children, with reports putting the number as high as 75.
Песня «I Put A Spell On You» прошла «красной нитью» по его биографии. Нина Симон записала свой вдумчивый вариант этой композиции, и в её неироничном исполнении песня тут же стала хитом.
