Su pasión fue el #BluesEléctrico y fue fundador del grupo #Taste. En 1971 lanzó su primer disco en solitario donde demostró todo su poderío con la guitarra que le permitió desarrollar una exitosa carrera como solista.

Rory Gallagher passed away 24 years ago today, 14th June 1995, at King's Hospital London. The greatest guitarist Ireland ever produced and a master of the blues. Hands down my favourite musician of all time. On his deathbed he received a telegram from one of his biggest admirers, Bob Dylan; "God bless you, get well soon, keep playing" - (Dylan incidentally was turned away from Gallagher's dressing-room after a show in L.A. at the Shine Auditorium in 1977 by his brother Donal who didn't recognise him!). First photo is at Rory's grave at St. Oliver's Cemetary in Ballincollig when I visited in 2010. The 2nd is in a way a paltry (but precious to me) piece of memoribilia but the only one I have, his signature taken from an autograph book and selloptaped to his Live in Europe Tour vinyl album, bought as a present at the old Blackberry Market in Rathmines by my wonderful wife 12 years ago! Then the ever-expanding vinyl collection followed by my favourite live photo of him taken by German photographer Heinrich Klaffs in Hamburg on the 20th December 1971. His new album 'Blues' was released last week and is his highest selling record in 10 years reaching No.4 in the Irish album charts, No.14 in Germany and No.17 in the U.K.
24 years ago the great Rory Gallagher passed away...if I could pick just one person to go back and see in concert it would be without a doubt Rory...his playing and charisma was unmatched and a huge reason I picked up a guitar in the first place...so if you don't know who this guy is I suggest you take a listen you won't be disappointed 🤘😎🤘...R.I.P Rory!!! A shot and a beer for you!!! #rorygallagher#bluesguitar#fenderstrat
Rory Gallagher Passed Away On This Day At The Age Of 47 🙏🏼 @rorygallagherofficial Rory Gallagher Performing “Luandromat”Rory Gallagher was born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal, Irish Republic, on March 2, 1948. Shortly after his birth, his family moved to Cork City in the south, and at age nine he became fascinated with American blues and folk singers he heard on the radio. An avid record collector, he had a wide range of influences, including Leadbelly, Buddy Guy, Freddie King, Albert King, Muddy Waters, and John Lee Hooker. Gallagher would always try to mix some simple country blues songs into his recordings.
"You gotta see by the way that they are talking,
That it's time for you to pick up your grip, start walking,
'Cause they want to see your long legs flying,
Go to the place where the earth meets the sky and,
Don't stop to turn around and wave goodbye at all"
RIP a true musical legend all around and one of my biggest inspirations to fuckin keep on keepin on always 🎸❤ #RoryGallagher#King
