Well my own take on this is, how hard you try still you never get the same space or equipments which are required to get the best gains but then we are in a very unnatural state of our life where I am sure no one living has seen anything similar. Coming back to the topic I see definitely loss of gains and muscle size but then we have ways to atleast keep our body working and keep the muscle memory on so when we all are back to gym life our body and muscles respond and get the gains back quickly. Training legs? Limited equipment? 📚 Bookmark this workout and give it a go! My favourite exercise was the single leg banded press. I haven’t seen this variation of banded leg press before - and it’s not as easy as it looks! Plus you get a bonus mini bicep workout. This workout is designed to challenge your strength, mobility and stability with a range of bilateral and unilateral exercises hitting both the anterior and posterior chain (front and back) of your lower body. Quality over quantity for this workout so ensure you are executing high quality controlled reps. All exercises are 4 sets 12 reps: ▪️Banded Front Squat. ▪️Banded Good Morning. ▪️Single Leg Banded Press. ▪️Single Leg Banded RDL. ▪️Sumo Squats Complete the exercises in a circuit to keep the work rate high (and save you time!). Make sure it is challenging for you by using a thick band, or tying a thinner band to create more resistance.

Today was the first day of virtual learning for the kiddos so my morning was a little hectic and I’m learning a new kind of patience as the facilitator of their education and learning. That being said, my workouts are scheduled for a little later in the day but the important thing is that they are SCHEDULED. Some of you may not agree that your workout is just as important as scheduling family responsibilities, but I believe I’m the best wife, mom, and coach when I’ve taken time for myself. The feeling of ACCOMPLISHMENT goes beyond my personal gain because I’m able to FOCUS on the littles when they need me. I know many of you are enduring homeschooling as well so I hope this inspires you to take an hour (or two) for yourself. Here is a shoulder workout that leave you feeling like a real bad@$$ 1/2-Y-raises: I started with a heavy band until exhaustion then finished up the set with a few extra reps at a lighter resistance to build on the endurance of important postural muscles. 3-Wide press variation of a shoulder press: I like using a kettlebell resting in the palm to give my grip a rest. Why press outside the shoulders? Medial deltoids get a lot of love with less triceps involvement. 4-Shoulder press: choose a weight that allows you to minimize any shrugging action in the top of the movement . Unless, of course, you’re in need of bigger traps! 5-Bent-over front raises using a band not only keeps tension on the anterior deltoids but enables you to keep good form without thrusting the hips forward to lift the weight 6-Dumbbell lateral raise with the thumb coming off the hip: a MUST if you want to get a nice shoulder cap. Perform all exercises for 3-4 sets of 12-15 reps with 45s rest periods. Like what you see? This is the second version for biceps and it’s even more intense than the first. On round 2’s videos, I also made a point to not change the angle of resistance mid routine to keep it even more convenient. Give it a try! Also seeing all the new Aliens joining the invasion for bands, I’m thinking I should get some more band workouts out on my YouTube channel, hows that sound?? 🙌🏻 - Do each exercise for 1 minute straight of high intensity then with no rest in between transition into the next exercise for another 60 seconds and repeat for a full 5min circuit. You can do this routine as a 1-set burnout at the end of your bicep workout or you can perform 3-4 sets resting 0:45-2:00 in between depending on your experience level for a full biceps workout. Over a year ago I had the opportunity to house sit for an old guy in Hudson Falls. Was basically penniless @ that time (by my own choice) so didn't go to a gym for a couple months and basically voluntarily quarantined @ this place for days at a time. Revived one of my old phones and was able to recover this old footage of an upper body workout done mainly with resistance bands.

This was the best workout I’d had in a few days. . Annnnnd I added commentary/ tips & thoughts instead of music to this one so there’s that. 🥳🥰 . The workout: ☀️ bent over rows ☀️crunches ☀️Bulgarian split squats ☀️hip thrusts ☀️wall squats ☀️Supermans . 4 sets of 12 for everything but the crunches. Those were 4 sets of 20 . Balance ball isn’t necessary, but it was fun to use for a switch up! . P.S. . flavored water packets are hella cheap & taste great without a bunch of calories (or ANOTHER round of caffeine that you probably don’t need). . I put some blueberry lemonade flavored water in my shaker cup as my “preworkout” drink & it actually helped me get in the workout/ gym mindset a LOT more than I anticipated. . P.S.S. . I LOVE THEM. Did my entire back workout with them yesterday. If you do not have any, I’d suggest grabbing some, they are versatile & inexpensive.
