#prawnnoodles here are an upscale version with the use of premium ingredients and method. The claim is that all #umami is derived sans MSG. I tried the signature #kwayteow or #flatricenoodles tossed in a spicy sauce. A tad too spicy for me especially with the temperature at which it was served but when it cooled I appreciated the #taste a lot more without having to sweat bullets. The price point while not at all expensive considering the ingredients and effort, may do better in a location where the demographic may be more willing to part with their money for high quality bowl of noodles. Chinatown Complex where the regulars are spoilt for choice for good decades old local favourites may make it challenging for this bowl to make the impact it deserves. #hawkerfood#streetfood#edeatssgp#sgfood#sgfoodies

Breakfast of Champions - JB kopitiam edition.
Don’t you just love it when you find a kopitiam with a variety of yummy hawker dishes? 😊 At Tai Soon Kopitiam in Tebrau (strangely, their name has been semi-angmoh-fied to become Restoran Tyson 🤷🏽♂️) there are stalls selling kon lor mee, kway teow thng, char kuay teow & others. I went for the popular prawn mee and it’s probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The soup was awesome: hence the empty bowl. 🤣 The you char kway there is excellent too. Will be back to try the other stalls sometime.
