Swipe to see one of our couples’ tropical inspired wedding invitation 😍 Marie is originally from Singapore and wanted a tropical feel in Seattle for their engagement photos, and boy did that happen 😍🌴
And I love, love, LOVE, when couples print their engagement/wedding photos. It’s such a personal touch to their invitations. I honestly save a lot of the invitations our couples send to us, because I love seeing them! And it gives me an extra version to photograph if I ever need to take details home to style for their wedding day ☺️
What about you guys though?! Do you like the idea of seeing photos for wedding invitations? 🙈
My first daughter, Kayliana, is a little ray of sunshine. She’s in middle school now, and I feel like everything has changed for her. Things are so unbelievably different in 6th grade...so much more freedom, new kids from other grade schools, and a whole new way of doing things. Her friends are changing...some girls she called the best of friends are ignoring her, and it hurts my heart. I’ve always wanted her to feel seen, heard, wanted, and loved...and it’s hard when you find there’s nothing you can possibly do if that’s not happening. I know there’s hope. I had a complete and total friend change in 7th grade when I no longer had any classes with any of my original friend group. I remember the pain of starting over, but am so happy I had so many years with my new friends who are now a smaller handful of old, forever friends. I’m praying she’ll have the same, positive experience and all this will make sense in the years to come 🧡
Beautiful capture of this girl by @allisekaylinphotography 🧡
How are we already half through October?! I finally made it out to the pumpkin patch with my fam bam and each year gets more fun as my daughter gets older. It’s almost as if she is doing all the fun fall activities for the first time, because she’s experiencing it all in a completely new way. Watching her excitement for the world around her is what fuels me daily.
almost one whole year with you and i love you more everyday. i can’t explain how someone can feel so much like home but you constantly have a comfort about you that feels so genuine and so good. you keep me grounded, a little more sane, and a lot more inspired to be my best self each day. you are my greatest adventure and life with you feels like it’s full of endless possibilities. thank you for letting me be deeply rooted in all my daydreams, supporting me in all my creative funks, and loving me like you do. here’s to dreaming big together every night and growing into the people we know we can be. love ya more than the last orange gatorade in the fridge, babe 🌙
One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is sharing knowledge about a location we're at. Whether that's sharing my knowledge of migrating whales from my past job with the BLM and as a naturalist on a whale watching boat, to the ecosystem of a Redwood forest, or the geology of a national park. It's such a joy to not only help couples craft a connected and adventurous wedding day, but to pass on information about our surroundings that makes the location come alive in a whole other way.
Who said you ever stop learning? 😉
I shot my last wedding of the season on Saturday and it was pretty sweet. Congrats Anna & Brandon. You are way too good looking of a couple! 😂 No, but seriously, your wedding was stunning and so are you. ❤️
Swooning over these beautiful souls I was lucky enough to spend my Saturday with. This gallery is going to bring alllll the feels.
First looks are always special and intimate. Many couples like to have that first moment to be alone and really soak in the day they’re about to embark on. It’s an awesome way to truly let all the fears, excitement, happiness and love wash over you- without having to worry about others watching. My grooms especially are able to really let go and show those emotions when it’s just us. But I also have tons of couples who opt for no first look and want the traditional moment of “wow” as they see eachother for the first time at the alter. Both can be just as special and when planning your wedding, it’s important to consider which one best fits your needs, comfortability and personality. ❤️
Candid. It’s what I do, what I breathe for, what my brand stands for. Those moments you can’t plan, can’t pose, can’t expect. Those are the moments I live for.
I love when the bride and groom sneak away for a small moment after the ceremony. The moment to finally breathe and hold eachother for the first time as a married couple. These are the moments that are absolutely irreplaceable.
Last night I photographed my sister and her sweet little pupper, Tess. Apparently my body didn’t like the environment because I woke up covered in hives.. oops! Regardless, I’m so excited to finish editing these.
Remember, I’m offering mini shoots in November. $125 for a 30 minute shoot and 15-30 images. Perfect for pets, families, etc!
Sweet soft baby hands.
I’d love to do some portraits soon! We can even go get spooky. Let’s run to party city, grab a mask and go into the woods 💫 Or we can take normal ones, that too. 😉
Happy October 1st! This is my favorite month of the year and the start of an amazing season. I am busy beyond belief with a shoot planned for every weekend this month (some weekends multiple shoots). I cannot wait to get some creative energy out and spend time with my amazing clients.
Here’s a throwback to a fall themed wedding I did.. how gorgeous is she? 😭
Hi seniors!!! Let’s do those portraits! I am scheduling for November. $150
2 hours, unlimited outfits/photos.
15 matte 4x6 images.
Let’s get scheduled! 🎓
Nothing beats a good black n white photo.
Happy Friday 🌸
As a photographer, shooting the wedding party can be one of the hardest and most stressful parts of the day, especially if it’s AFTER the ceremony.. everyone is tired, emotionally drained, HUNGRY and ready to party. If you’re getting married, you can help your photographer by having a conversation with the party beforehand so everyone is prepared. This wedding party here was amazing and everyone was so supportive of the bride and groom that they were willing to walk into this super sketchy dock to capture this amazing photo!
Alright friends we’re halfway through the week. It’s been a weird one here in Portland.. rain, sun, all of it. But hey, there’s nothing like cuddling up under the covers and listening to the rain while you edit photos!
