One of the main attractions of Svaneti is the Ushguli high mountain community. It is located at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level and is considered a very inaccessible place.
Ushguli consists of 4 villages: Zhibiani, Chvibiani, Chazhashi and Murkmeli. This place has a special atmosphere. As soon as you get here, you feel how everything is ancient here, almost all the buildings here are from 9-10th centuries and are perfectly preserved! Walking along the streets, this spirit of the past is felt, one can observe what imprint left time on this settlement. About 300 people reside in Ushguli. There is a small school, a cafe, several temples. There is even an ethnographic museum in which household items of the 16th century are kept. The Enguri River flows on the territory of the settlement - it is very cold, it flows very fast and has an extraordinary bright blue tint, as it is very clean. Horse riding to the foot of Mount Shkhara, which is the highest point of the Main Caucasus Range - its height is 5,201 meters, is especially popular in Ushguli.
Ushguli is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the village there are stunning views of alpine meadows, the Enguri river, and the mountain Shkhara. Everywhere are Svan towers that make the atmosphere even more pleasant. You rest your soul in Ushguli, it is very calm here and you can truly enjoy this tranquility.
Исчезновение времени вышло на какой-то новый уровень. По всем моим ощущениям сегодня четверг. Совершенно случайно узнала, что пятница. Во дела 🙄
Добавлю зелёных красок в ленту, а то вдруг завтра уже осень 🤭
