Sassanid persian knight
The Sassanids are a Persian dynasty that reigned over the Iranian world from 224 until the Muslim invasion in 651. This period is a golden age for the region, both in artistic, political and religious terms.
With the Roman-Byzantine Empire, this Empire was one of the great powers of West Asia for more than four hundred years . Founded by Ardashir I, who routed Artaban IV, the last Parthian king (Arsacid), it ended with the defeat of the last king of kings (Emperor) Yazdgard III (632-651). The latter, after fourteen years of struggle, can not stop the progress of the Arab caliphate, the first of the Islamic empires. The territory of the Sasanian Empire encompasses all of present-day Iran, Iraq, present-day Armenia and the southern Caucasus (Transcaucasia), including South Daghestan, Central Asia and southwest, western Afghanistan, fragments of today's Turkey (Anatolia) and Syria, part of the coast of the Arabian Peninsula, the Persian Gulf region and fragments of West Pakistan. The Sassanids called their empire Eranshahr, "the Iranian Empire", or Empire of the Aryans.

I will have been married to this man for 27 years tomorrow with another 6 added on to that before we married. To this day, the proudest day of my life was our wedding day. I'm not religious yet marrying him before family and friends was an important part of telling the world we are committed to each other. And while marriage for us is a lifetime commitment, we retake our vows every 10 years to show each other that we're still invested in each other and recognising that being together sometimes requires effort! For 24 years, once a week, we have date night where we don't talk kids or money. This started when the first two girls were babies. We recognised we were drifting apart because we were always so knackered, juggling babies, toddler tantrums, long work hours, lack of sleep etc, We struggled to find energy to speak let alone have quality time together (bumping uglies became rare to the point of extinction) so we sat down and made a plan to stop the slow relationship decline creeping in, by making time for each other, hence the commencement of date night. And here we are ... still having our weekly date nights despite the kids being grown up. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but it works for us. We don't take each other for granted. We acknowledge a relationship can be hard work. We still try and surprise each other with the 'little things' , but most importantly we talk, and talk and talk.and we LISTEN #marriage#Anniversary#besthusband#middleage#maturewomen#love#datenight#makingtimeforeachother#effectivecommunication
First off I do miss my "longer" hair, but short is waaaay easier.😉 2nd, It was so cool to see this old post from over 2yrs ago where I was talking about numbers. 📈
Numbers, facts, systems, and organization, all motivate me. 🤓
Gives me peace, and the clarity 💯 I need to get the stuff done that I want to do.
It just comes easy to me and I forget sometimes it doesn't to everybody. 🤷♀️ I'm working on something behind the scenes now that will make your life easier and help multiply your time. 🔥

#brianza#erba#lake#como#triangololariano#church#middleage#milan
I love learning new skills. Recently I’ve been teaching myself how to build a website. When I was at school, personal computers were just coming in to the market and how I laughed at the girls who chose typing classes instead of home economics. I couldn’t see a reason for me to learn to type. How wrong was I? Although most typing now is done with two thumbs - probably a good thing for me! New skills-
I’ve built a website for FiftySister as a resource for anyone wanting to know what lipstick I am wearing, what shampoo, eyeshadow... you get the idea. It’s work in progress so don’t be too hard on me, but I’m open to criticism as I would like to improve it and learn more everyday.

I would like to mention 3 women today who inspire me on Insta. @charmcitychick who I stumbled across a couple of weeks ago. She is physically strong and a role model I yearned for when I was younger. I have serious leg envy!
@msstarmonroe for her effervescent and vibrant IGTV posts and stories. She is electrifying and if both of us were ever to be in the same room, I know there would be trouble.
@triple_fish_amy who is living the life I would choose. On the road, drinking in all that life has to offer. Who inspires you?
