Riverside & Kennedy | c. 1855
I will henceforth refer to this timeless beauty as "Graz's Daughters' House."
The home, whose construction began in 1855 and finished after the Civil War, was first known as Nienaber House. German-born John B. Nienaber was a successful Covington tailor and then an über-successful real estate broker.
In the early 1900s, superstar Covington attorney Benjamin F. Graziani bought and remodeled the house for his eldest daughters, Laura and Elsie.
Graziani's own mansion was steps away, southward, and built by the same man as his daughters' house, Howell Lewis Lovell.
Elsie Graziani married David Earl Pendery in 1916. Elsie and Earl's wedding present was a furnished apartment in this home. They stayed until 1933, after which they and their two children moved to Park Hills.
Laura Graziani married John Raymond Solar in 1914. Raymond Solar died after an appendicitis operation in 1922, when he was just 28. The Solar family minus their mister stayed in this home until at least 1940.
Another lucky family enjoys this home today, as do all of us, walking by.

Always keep dating.
The other day, someone asked me what the most unexpected part of parenting was for me. I think this was it. It's been a hard balance between spending time with our girl after long work weeks, seeing friends/family, and also continuing to date each other. I listed it last here but it should always come first.
Last night, we spent time being tourists in our own city. We got to hop around @braxtonbrewco , @parloron7th , @thehannaford , and @smokejustis ! Highly recommend!
So it turns out that sharing reviews is super hard for me. I want to cover my face and turn away 🙈 BUT I’m also super grateful because I have genuinely connected with every single one of my clients, and they’ve all made my life brighter. James was no exception. He was an A+ client: responsive, thoughtful, charming, intelligent, witty, patient, and just plain FUN to be around. Thanks for the great conversations, James! You are a wonderful human being, and I couldn’t be happier for you! Love the “grandma house” we found for you ☺️🏡🔑 #pivotrealtygroup#wecanbecausewecare#amazingclientsrock#lovethecov#whenyourereadyimready

Swimming, Fishing, Boating - just a few of the things that we think about when we think of Summer - and all things that we humans just loooove to do.
Some maybe more than others though.
Stephen Fisher built his home with the goal of it being a one-of-a-kind, and by every measure he succeeded. Working alongside Guz Architects, a Singapore based company, he created an underwater entertainment room.
Yes, you heard correctly — an underwater entertainment room. Kind of like a fish tank, but way cooler because instead of fish 🐟, it’s built for humans 🏊🏻♂️ The house, located in Singapore, is surrounded by a pool on the first floor. The basement has clear acrylic walls which allows his guests to see the amazing view of the pool. Check it out for yourself. 😱
