YOU GUYS! 🥳
Can you believe that ONE YEAR ago TODAY was the FIRST DAY I ARRIVED IN CALI🌴🌞
Took be 4 days to drive across country. I guess you can say I was a little excited to get here 🚗 💨 :
I’ve experienced SO much, explored many areas, met some amazing people and lifelong friends, chasing my passion and dreams, and have fallen in love with this state every step of the way ❤️
Trust me, it hasn’t been an easy road. I’ve learned a lot, grown a lot, struggled a lot, but also laughed a lot, loved a lot, and been having fun throughout my journey.
P.S I definitely made some leg and booty gains too, CHEERS 🥂 hehe
Google Announces $1 Billion Pledge Towards SF Housing
Google joins the other tech companies to help fix the housing affordability crisis in Northern California.
Google’s pledge of $1 billion will come in the form of land and money with the potential to add a minimum of 20,000 homes in the Bay Area. According to Realtor.com, it plans to repurpose $750 million of it’s own commercially zoned land to residential land in order to lease it to developers to build homes. There are also plans to create a $250 million investment fund for developers to have incentives to build affordable housing in the area.
Although as generous as it seems, the announcement is more of an investment than a donation as Google will be making money from the leases to developers. Google is the latest company to join the likes of Microsoft, Facebook, and Apple in focusing its finances on housing issues near their respective headquarters. As affordability becomes scarce near these bustling cities, the flood of private money interest could possibly help ease the issue.
