Fear tells you to settle.
Fear tells you you get what you deserve.
Fear tells you “this is just your life”.
Fear tells you “you aren’t good enough.” .
Fear tells you to stay on the couch.
Fear tells you take a nap.
Fear tells you stay home and don’t live a life of purpose.
Fear tells you “you weren’t created for more!” .
Don’t let fear stop you from the beautiful plan God has for you. Those are lies from the enemy and you deserve more! .
But let me explain my mindset...I’ve been fearful to work again after feeling like I failed myself, others and Jesus. But not anymore. I’ve realigned my heart with truth and I’m going for it! I’m refusing to allow that fear to stop me from reaching my goals TODAY! .
Whether you are scared of success, scared of getting out of bad relationships, scared of failure, scared of what others will think, scared of going to the next level...change your mindset! Make a decision. Replace the negative language with a positive one. You were created for so much more!!!! Let’s do it for His glory!!!!! #alignforsuccess
Here at Rocksbox, we are big fans of spreading love, support, and positivity, and we wanted to remind you that today is #WorldKindnessDay! Whether it's paying for the person behind you, sending a friend flowers just because, or simply praising a co-worker on a job well done, we hope you're celebrating! 💛
7:30, Resentment and a Coffee Pot. #8. .
Every night walking home I pass this new bar in an old carpet store. It’s exactly the kind of place I might have sat for hours with friends when I was younger. And, at the time, I thought it was all good. The life. Harmless at worst, but actually I praised it: enlivening, connecting, engaging. But now looking carefully I see the slight of mind, the deception. There were consequences: Lost hours, friendships tested, infidelities, lost pursuits and ambitions, abandonment. All like rivulets into a river — until, decades later, a torrent. I always drank more, pushed the boundaries, upped the stakes. So, I pass you by, bar, and understand the truth of where real joy is found.
SO. FREAKING. GRATEFUL.

Believe me, this Capricorn / only child has gone through many phases of life as a lone wolf (lone goat 🐐) This current era is surely NOT one of those times, and I'm so thankful. Feeling all the mushy love for ALL OF YOU WHO LIGHT UP MY LIFE with your love and magic🙏🙏🙏
Congratulations to the Clarke Orchestras and their directors, Ms. Foye and Ms. Billings-White, on an outstanding first concert of the year! Great music was made tonight that was executed so well and filled with such #joy!! @lexingtonsuper@ClarkePrincipal
joy is internal, it can never be brought about by external circumstances. It can’t be grasped through experiences, through people, through attainment of something. It can only come from you. The thing we want is joy, because it springs forth from an entire different energy than the shortlived forms of feeling-good we experience through gratification.
Remember those circles where you go around sharing your story. Yeah. Those. I remember being a part of one many years ago- and while I was in the middle of my story- I literally froze and had an out of body experience. How long was I going to continue the sob-story narrative I had always spoke of. I literally noticed - subconsciously, that I may have been seeking pity and was mindlessly repeating a story. Our life and our narrative is in our control. It’s all perspective. Being cognizant of the story we tell and why we share those details (unconscious sympathy and pity vs empowerment) is super important to our healing. Be aware and remember that the emotions you associate with those traumatic events are to be observed and worked through- eventually being released. Otherwise, dis-ease begins and can take over.
