Where I’d rather be... —— Weather’s turned to shit. Tan’s started to fade. Motivation in my boots! —— It is far too easy to kick back with a box set and Deliveroo some KFC! —— Here are three rules I follow to ensure that I don’t go down this slippery slope: —— 1️⃣Plan meals. I dedicate Sunday to this. My prep includes 1 ‘cheat meal’ (usually on a Saturday) I am able to stick to it by having more or less the same meals for breakfast, lunch and snacks during the week with slight variations for dinner. —— 2️⃣Plan workouts. I Plan which days I can get to the gym around my schedule. I put rest days around my ‘busy/unpredictable’ days (I still go if I can on those days as a bonus! The gym is my happy place 😃) —— 3️⃣Get sufficient sleep. If I’m tired I’m unlikely to train and more likely to eat calorie dense food. If I’m rested, I am focused and motivated! —— Even though I’m bulking, the above means I don’t give myself licence to eat whatever I want (and get fat) but still allows a degree of flexibility at the weekends. Finding every excuse not to exercise? ⠀⠀ . Tired, work stress, the weather, too busy....Yep me too 🙋🏼‍♀️ ⠀⠀ . Yes training is my job and yes on the whole I love what I do but doesn’t mean I don’t have those days where sitting on the sofa with a film & ice-cream/pick and mix isn’t far more appealing that training, and today was one of those days 😎 ⠀⠀ . Lack of sleep, maybe a few too many 🥂 at the weekend and a battered knee (nothing to do with the 🥂👀🌚) I was close to being swayed... ⠀⠀ . BUT training/exercise for me is a habit, one I enjoy, get a lot out of & is stronger than my excuses 🧚🏼‍♀️ ⠀⠀ . It wasn’t always this way however - thinking the only way to train was fast intense max workouts I quickly burnt out and trained because I had to rather than wanting to - but since switching up my training having a structured but varied program, I found my love for fitness again and enjoy the challenge of seeing what my body can do 💪🏼 ⠀⠀ . There is no one way to train, find exercise you enjoy - make it fun, have a goal and it is far easier to shut down those excuses 🥳 ⠀⠀ . Plus what’s 10mins out of your day anyway? 😉 #makethetime ⠀⠀ . I've invested countless hours in posing, Grinded out the countless hours of double seccions on legs and back (which were my weakest body parts; and in which have became my strongest), and just litterally obsessed with hunger in climbing to the top. ↕️ PUSHUP uses your own body weight as resistance, working your upper body and core at the same time. __________________________________________ The standard P͎U͎S͎H͎U͎P͎S͎ mainly target the following muscles 🎯 __________________________________________ 📍𝗣𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹𝘀 (chest muscles) 📍𝗗𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗼𝗶𝗱𝘀 (shoulders) 📍𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘀 (back of your arms) 📍𝗔𝗯𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 📍𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 (the “wing” muscles directly under your armpit) _______________________________________________________ The great thing about P͎U͎S͎H͎U͎P͎S͎ is that it will be hard for you and your body to get used to them. There are many different varieties that target each muscle a little differently. 🔻Follow below steps to reach the SUPERMAN P͎U͎S͎H͎U͎P͎S͎ (or any plyometric)🔻 _______________________________________________________ 🔹Start in a plank position with your pelvis tucked in, your neck neutral, and your palms directly under your shoulders. 🔸Begin to lower your body by bending your elbows, keeping them pointed slightly back, with your core tight and your back flat, until your chest grazes the floor. 🔹Immediately extend your elbows and push your body back up, but instead of stopping at the top, use force to launch your upper body up through your hands so your palms come off the ground. 🔸Land lightly back on the ground and lower your chest again for another rep. Add a clap at the top for added difficulty. 🔹Repeat for as many reps as possible for 3 sets. 🔸Once this becomes easy, start doing it while pushing with ur toes into the ground to push all ur body up so your palms and toes come off the ground together. 🔹Finally land lightly back to the ground in ecentric pushup position _______________________________________________________ Give it a try and 📩 me your footage 💪🏼
