Top single tonight with 187.5kg back squat single, moved well but could be better and finished of of with 3x6 with 155kg which moved fairly well 👌🏋️ The thing I've found hard is dealing with my own expectations and how a weight should feel week to week, it really messes with my head. One week 195kg feels like an easy triple then the next week 187.5kg feels sluggish, that's the thing with any strength sport or bodybuilding, once you get stronger or a better physique you always expect more and better. How I’m eating more food for bulking!😛🥦🍳🍗 ~~~ I will be honest, I didn’t actually think I could do a bulk. As we have said before, we have only really focused on being in a caloric deficit. The whole 5.5 years we have been into fitness! 😬 I never considered a bulk would be helpful. All I could imagine was myself blowing up like a balloon again but I’m learning that is not the case!❌ 🎈 ~~~ There is two types of bulks, a dirty bulk🍟🍕 and a lean bulk🍗🍳Dirty bulk means kinda going all out with food and really going hard with progressive overload. Muscle gain and also fat gain can happen with a dirty bulk. As for a lean bulk, that’s focusing on eating healthy food. More protein, more carbs and focusing on progressive overload as well. They can give different results! ~~~ I am doing a lean bulk and it has been hard to eat more protein and food in general. I have been enjoying it and have found little tips to help me get all my macros in!!💪 1️⃣If my meal is not enough calories/doesn’t have enough macros, I will add something to the side. I usually never had the option but I am starting to remember a side each meal to help increase my calories!👍🍳 2️⃣I will just increase my portions, which is as easy as it sounds. If I usually have 1/2 a cup of yogurt, I will increase it to 3/4. Or even 1 cup of cereal vs 1/2 a cup.👌 the small things can make a difference 😁 3️⃣I have a lot more snacks now! These help me stay full between meals but also helping me increase my macros! A simple protein bar or protein shake can really help your macros out! Not overly filling and has great macros 😋 ~~~ What I find works best is to find the foods I enjoy eating the most and eat them consistently. I honestly love eating the same thing daily, I don’t typically get bored and I know what will fit my macros👍 Can’t wait to see more muscle gains in the gym!💪 this bulk will pay off 😝 ~~~ Do you eat the same things daily? Now, I'm not crossfitter, but I fancied my chances at the #nasty9 challenge put forward by the lovely @redders166 and @gaybriella consisting of... - 9 x 40kg deadlifts - 9 x toes to bar (rings) - 9 x 40kg power cleans - 9 x Air squats - 9 x 40kg push jerk - 9 x over bar burpees . Got to the gym, got in the zone, expecting it to take me a while as these lifts aren't my forté, and completed it in a respectable 3:09 🥳 yay, go me! . It's fair to say after that small amount of work, I was goosed! I then found out that you have to infact complete said 3minute circuit NINE times! Hence the 'nasty' part! . Massive respect to crossfitters, their strength and stamina is INSANE! Definitely something I will be introducing into my training sessions, both for me, and my clients!
