Sometimes we just have too many choices in life. Take away our options, and life seems so much more straightforward.
It's like having a menu that reads more like an encyclopedia at a bubble tea store - who else has this problem of taking ages to choose a drink, only to decide at the one drink that you had ordered the previous 1296 times? The distraction of having either a fruit based probiotic drink with exotic flavored pearls can be so overwhelming at times, when all you really wanted was just a bubble milk tea (less sugar please!).
That's why I turn to black and white photography some times to illustrate how things in life, even in weddings, can be simpler. Take away the color, and essentially you have just light, lines, shapes and emotions to show. It makes you relate to the images more, as black and white are universal so as to speak. And it couldn't be more apt going monochrome on a wedding day where the simpler, humane emotions are sometimes all we ask for.
... Mi è stato chiesto di mostrarmi per ciò che sono senza maschere, fuori e dentro... L'ho fatto e non è mai bastato... Ma io so bene chi sono, cosa ero e cosa voglio essere, e questo basta e avanza😊

"Consider them both,
the sea and the land;
and do you not find a strange analogy
to something in yourself?" 🍃🌊It was with these words from Melville's Moby-Dick (1851) 🐳, that the idea of this painting started. The first time I discovered these words, they were floating at the start of the movie @aplasticocean . This movie deeply moved me and I wanted to celebrate how much I carry nature within my own heart and how much I think we all do carry nature within ourselves.
Thank you so much @fatfishfamilia for inviting me 💙💚
