Social connections, the willingness to reach out is one of the techniques in building resilience. It is also one of the biggest game changer for me personally since I started on my positive psychology journey. I am more introvert inclined and I find that people often drain me, instead of energizing me.
But the research was staring at me in the face, and I knew I had to change in order to live a happier life. I am so glad to have made the effort to reach out. I definitely feel less isolated, and more connected to more people.
