@bhuwan_ifbbpro I started competing at 176lbs in 2016, got my pro card at 185lbs in 2017, made my pro debut at 193lbs in 2018, started this year at 202lbs and showed up at Olympia at 198lbs. Needless to say, I need to be 208lbs+ to be competitive at Olympia stage and @teamzerogravity and I are working to put together a plan to achieve just that. - Adding size is not difficult, being aesthetic, proportionate and symmetrical is, which I have always been. I don’t expect to be the biggest guy at 25yo while the top guys are all 30+, but I sure as hell can be bigger to be competitive. ⚠️BULKING AND CUTTING⚠️ _ The entire point of bulking and cutting is (to over simplify), optimize your current goal. Going on a bulk optimizes your strength and hypertrophy gains while going on a cut optimizes your fat loss. _ While bulking and cutting works wonders for me, I would NOT recommend it for EVERYONE. The process is a very sharp tool, but also a double edged sword. Some people will see the bulking process as an excuse to recklessly indulge and get lost in the yummy world of “empty” calorie dense treats (🙋🏽‍♀️). They stuff their faces with treats for extended period — which isn’t necessarily wrong. Respect to those who go bear-mode! But the problem with that is most people do not have the discipline nor the knowledge to be able to safely navigate themselves back into a lean body composition. _ Disclaimer: this is not to disparage people who have fallen into perpetual “bulk” mode! Luv the gainz brah!✌🏾🦍 _ But like I always say, and this is VERY IMPORTANT: WILL POWER IS A LIMITED RESOURCE. The longer and harder you push yourself into a hyper-caloric state: the longer and harder you will have to stay hypo-caloric. For some who can treat this just like any other day.. but for others, staying on a caloric deficit for weeks or even months is simply IMPOSSIBLE because will power is directly diminished by stress! Trying to lose weight alone is already stressful, throw in an asshole boss screaming down your face or your S.O. suddenly breaking up with you or simply being stuck in traffic for two hours going someplace 10mins walking distance - and you have a recipe for failure! _ Like I always say: different goals and different life situations require personal solutions! The most important thing you can do to stay healthy and fit is to use the tools that you can keep USING FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE! Research, study your own body, KNOW WHAT WORKS. Don’t just jump into something because some fit girl on IG said so 🤪 #sustainablefitness _ PS. In 2016, I weighed 120-124lb. These days I average 133-135lb! In case you’re wondering, sometimes gaining weight can be the best thing that can happen for your body💪🏾🍑😊

A moderate training day may be where you engaged in two workouts; perhaps you ran in the AM and hit the climbing gym or weights in the evening. Swipe for real plate example. Notice the difference in carbohydrate allotment in this plate vs the easy training day/weight management plate. Because carbs 👏🏽are 👏🏽the 👏🏽primary 👏🏽fuel 👏🏽source! Kinda tough for me to find examples where everything is neatly separated- I like a good schlop/mixture! Some mixed-meal examples for moderate training plates are: pasta! It's pretty carb dense so it's easy to figuratively partition the plate with some ground meat/meat sub and make sure to add plenty of veggies mixed in. Tacos can also be mod if you are using larger tortillas, more tortillas, or starch like beans/rice in the filling. The second pic shows rice and breaded chicken as carb sources. .
