What if instead of looking at things not going our way as a loss, we were able to call it a transition and be excited for what’s next? •
Life is literally 100% hour perspective. You actually get to CHOOSE how you see and react to the things that happen in your life. •
I didn’t lose a relationship, I transitioned into one with myself, instead. •
I didn’t lose everything I owned, I transitioned into a lifestyle that focuses not on THINGS but on happiness and self awareness.
I didn’t lose anything. Ever. I transitioned into the person I am, and I will continue to transition, as will you. Every time I have felt like my life has fallen apart, it has, without a doubt, catapulted me into the next level of my life and ONLY when I accept and welcome this, does my life change.
If you’re feeling resistance in any area of your life, I encourage you to take a deep breath and ask yourself “what am I supposed to learn here that will make me a better human?” It’s not a loss, not an obstacle, it’s the universe re-routing you to your destination. Putting you back on the path to your truth. •
I love you, I hope you have an incredible Saturday. 🙏🏼♥️🌱
Well played blues, keep it up!💙
In Topeka, KS, we went to the Brown vs. Board of Education National Historic Site. Pretty amazing to see this school! I almost started crying when I was explaining to Stella why it's an important place. She was so confused about why all kids couldn't go to school together. When I explained a little more about segregation she just said, "That's mean, Mama." Yes my little love, it is.
Saturday’s are for shades, sunshine & smiles with this cool lil dude😎☀️😁
Only thing that would make this day better is if daddy was with us. It’s why we work so hard together as a #husbandandwifeteam to pay off debt (which we just paid off another $4,000 yesterday and almost completely credit card debt freeeee!!!) and to create time freedom. .
It’s hard freaking work, and days like today I just wanna be a ball of sadness not having daddy with us and slightly freaking out that I’ll be raising two boys under 14 months by myself for 2 months.... but that mindset isn’t going to get us to living our best life. Instead, I’m going to embrace today’s affirmation I shared in my stories, and remember we have the responsibility to choose the most empowering reasons for the events and challenges in our lives. .
So while there may be a tear or two behind these shades today as I push through these pregnancy emotions, I’m going to choose to smile through as best I can, for me, my family and my team. Will ya join me, mama?? #letsrisetogether
✨Productive mornings... why don’t I do this more often? Happy Saturday! We have family coming in all week and are so excited 🤗
Also, this is part of the back of our rig. We took out the dinette and have another sitting area there on the left. Then there’s Marley being all majestic💁🏼♀️
I thought I loved the mountains, but I’m pretty sure the ocean is winning me over.
Feeling incredibly blessed. What a weekend 💙 & it’s not even over yet!
Swipe to see Trev in his natural habitat 😂 out on the water, lobster in hand.
#Boston we wandered through your streets and visited the #GranaryBurialGround and could not believe how old the headstones were.
Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, John Hancock, among many others grave sites are in this burial ground. As we wondered as silently as we could, marveling at all the headstones and lives who touches this earth but for a time.
How precious little babes were considered that didn’t survive the day of their birth and some families so large they required an entire metal plate to fit their names.
We saw young adults who died in their 30s and that is eye opening for us. Also notice the skull and wings? That symbol was on almost every single headstone. It feels dark and cryptic, but I can’t help but wonder...maybe their view of death was healthier than our own now? Or were they so used to it happening?
Do you find walking through grave yards interesting or creepy?
“If you’re too busy to read God’s word than you are busier than God ever intended for you to be.” Ouch! #truth 😱
Sometimes truth hurts, but truth is always meant for correcting and teaching! I would rather be chastised by the Lord than condemned with the world. (1 Corinthians 11:32)👌
In God’s word you will find a rainbow at the end of a storm, God in the midst of disaster, redemption at the foot of the cross, and His love on display! ♥️
His Word is never failing, never changing, and oh so good! 🙌🙌
What is your favorite book in the Bible/current favorite?! 👇
When we get on that #fulltimerv life, y'all are gonna have to come join us for #breakfast! Are you tired of photos of my cooking yet? Another yard sale day, another breakfast request honored. Mama wanted cinnamon rolls. Yum-a-dum-dum
Can't beat living in paradise! Last night we were walking around downtown talking about how much we love it here. Bar Harbor has everything we love to do, the weather is damn near perfect while we are here and we just adore the town. We've been asked why we keep going to places we've already been when there is so much to explore...this is why. We just can't get enough!
Missing my routine a bit after a 3 week hiatus of only being home 36 hrs between trips.
Traveling through France was the most magical though. Popped up to Belgium for a couple of days to the city of Bruges and absolutely loved it!
I’ve felt a bit of mundaneness seeping in, and this trip definitely relit my zest for traveling. I may just need to ship the Tincan to the south of France countryside or Portugal 🤪. But in all honesty, the truth is, even when you are traveling and moving around a lot, things become “normal” and the newness and excitement of it wears off. It just becomes life. I truly don’t remember what it was like living in a house before this because this has been my normal for 2+ years now. This is my mundane everyday life and like anything there are times when I feel super stoked and times when I feel like I need a change.
So for now I will sit here in this place. Appreciating experiences over anything else and knowing that I get to choose what my future looks like and for me that’s what stokes me the most... the unknown. Nothing is forever. There is beauty in staying put and there is beauty in seeking out the new. -
It doesn’t get much better than boondocking in the mountains by a lake. Where are you camping this weekend?
Have a blessed Saturday friends.
Today we close out the house.
There’s no turning back now 😂
It’s exciting when you take a big leap and step out of your comfort zone.
Are you building your dream?
What would you do if fear didn’t hold you back?
Why are you letting it hold you back?
Banff Day 5: we finally got our act together and woke up relatively early (7:30 am 😬) made it out the door by 9:30 🤦🏼♀️ and to Johnston Canyon where we spent 2.5 hours hiking to the lower and upper falls and then stopping for hot cocoa and beers as our reward. Our almost 4 year old hiked the whole way, playing red light/green light to keep her going. I was so proud! My sister and her husband flew in and we ate at Eddie’s Burger Bar because I read it had great poutine (it was ok, I liked the Banff Brewery better) and then we went to the hot springs (relaxing, but crowded and a little over rated) and checked out the Fairmont Hotel. We ended the night with lots of laughs eating, drinking and playing games in the trailer. Can’t wait for tomorrow! @andreamila_d#rvliving#fulltimerv#fulltimervfamily#rvfamily#lifeontheroad#roadtrip#findyouradventure#hikingwithkids#travelwithkids#wanderlust
Ok....here is a tip for you.
Torches and citronella candles work great for some bugs. Pine Sol and water mixture sprayed on the windows next to the door keep other bugs away and from the door and getting in. BUT - Did you know..... Inscent sticks work great for the other bugs like gnats and moths. Light a few and place them around....( I know you are going to ask how I figured this out ) Welllllll....I figured everyone always says get a fire in the pit going to keep the bugs away, plus....we all light candles and wax warmers to smell good in the house....why not outside....so ...I tried it and it worked. Your camp may smell like a Hippie convention 😂 but...it will be bug free...let me know if you tried this.
Our future home has been found. Say hello to Cameo Carriage! .
She’s outdated but solid and has a great floor plan. Lots of updating and changes ahead for her but I think she’s going to make a really nice home for the girls and I.
I love renovation and design and have been blessed to get to do two homes so far. So I’m really excited to work on our RV and make it our mini dream home but am going to used hired help to get the job done, since it’s just me with the girls. .
It won’t be too long now before we are living full time in this beauty, with our Trisomy friends on their land, close to Aiyana’s medical team. .
Here’s to the next phase of this adventure called life. May it be smooth and beautiful ✨
Stay tuned for updates on Cameo’s beautification and take a tour of the before in my stories.
Next step: sell all of our belongings and get teeny tiny mini versions of them 😂
Just because momma is away for 3 days doesn’t mean that we can’t still have some fun!
Started off the day with everyone sleeping in. Then grabbing a tasty brunch at a nearby café. Off to Whole Foods to grab some snacks and food (treats) for the weekend. Then of course...off to the beach! Well, it was really for the lighthouse, obvs (photo to follow of the light itself). Climbed around on the rocks right at the oceans edge. Had several really special memories on the rocks. Liliana pooped in the tide pools (don’t ask...daddy’s on duty! 🤷🏼♂️). Then we headed to a playground in an oceanfront state park. After we got back, the kiddos played til dark with other kids from the campground while I grabbed a pizza so they didn’t go to bed hungry!
Tomorrow? It’s definitely starting off with Maine’s famous potato donuts! And probably another lighthouse. And probably putting our feet in the ocean again. And probably ice cream.
What are your plans for the weekend??
