So much so that other fast food joints known for their chicken sandwiches have been clamoring to regain the attention of the masses. We tried the sandwich, and yes, it really is great. But how does it stack up against others? Ace reporter @maurajudkis is on the case, putting her soul and stomach on the line to bring you The Truth. Paddlefish Beer Dinner – Disney Springs. @paddlefishorl
Great businesses support great causes and Paddlefish, the amazing and iconic Levy restaurant at the heart of Disney Springs is no exception. In aid of the Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida they hosted a Beer Fundraising Dinner that took place on the top deck of Paddlefish earlier this week.
Supported by the Big Top Brewing Company @bigtopbrewco of Sarasota and Gainesville fame, Chef Steven Richards and his team crafted food and beer parings, creating some memorable dishes, executed perfectly and were true “Show Stoppers”.
The first course was aptly called “The Best Parts of the Chicken Sandwich,” which saw Chef Steve present a slider sandwich filled with crispy Chicken skin and a Chicken Liver Mousse that was epic. This was superbly paired with the Big Top Trapeze Monk Belgian Style witbier, a highly carbonated witbier infused with citrus notes and our favorite of the night.
Second course was the “New Bedford Surf & Turf”. A massive New Bedford Sea Scallop with braised Lamb on a bed of grits. The Scallop was outstanding and provided a perfect “foil” for the rich Lamb and Grits base. Big Top pulled out all the stops with this beer pairing and chose Big Life Tropical Lager, with a lager taste as you would expect but with a subtle punch of Pineapple taking it to another level.
The Entrée was Beef Chili. But not your usual fayre, this beanless Chili boasted Australian Wagyu short rib, some of the best Basmati rice we have tasted, crème fraiche, jalapenos and house-made habanero sauce. This Chili had so much flavor, only mildly hot but bursting with complex tastes. Big Top paired this with their take on an English Style IPA, the Circus City IPA, robust enough to stand on its own.
We rounded off the dinner with Pineapple Upside Down Cake paired with the most unusual and intriguing Hawaiian Lion Coconut Coffee Porter. For us the best example of beer pairing as not only did this beer pair with the dessert but there were also elements of the beer cooked right into the drizzle sauce.

The time has finally come! After being on my list of “must try” restaurants for years, I made it to Screen Door for their infamous Southern food 🍗 Without a doubt, I had to order the chicken ‘n waffles and praline bacon. I was amazed at how tender and juicy the chicken was. Each piece of chicken was fried to a crispy, golden perfection and the crust was to die for! I especially liked the sweet potato waffle - it reminded me of a spice cake! The sweetness of the waffle perfectly complimented the savory kick of the chicken 🤤

The best tasting chicken burger of the century! Located in Burnaby & Vancouver, you have to try it to believe it.
Quand une adresse de poulet ouvre dans la ville où je passe mes vacances je ne peux que la tester 😍😍 avec mes parents.
Très surpris par la qualité des produits mais aussi par le prix !
On peut choisir un poulet rôti aux herbes.. un wrap au poulet, des wings, des croustillants de poulets au cornflakes, une salade Caesar.
En accompagnements, des frites maisons, des pommes de terres campagnardes rôties, des légumes maisons rôtis... .
Quand j’ai vu la salade Caesar de ma maman a 9€ : elle était gigantesque ! Ma mère n’a même pas pu la finir mon père la aide et pourtant ma mère mange bien. Très généreux en poulet et très variés en crudités. .
Nos croustillants il y avait 4 filets de poulet énormes pour 9€. .
Les portions de pomme de terre et de frites étaient également très très généreuses.
Pour le prix et la quantité et la qualité... on aurait même pas le tiers à paris 😭😭😭... j’applaudis ! .
Pour ceux qui n’aiment pas le poulet il y avait des plats mijotés de mamie : souris d’agneau, cochon grillé, maquereau au four ... plein de choix très appétissants !
