Don’t be flaky unless you’re a roti canai! 🤪
This Indian inspired Malaysian flatbread was mind blowing! 😱Imagine crispy layers of buttery, flaky flatbread with a soft pillowy centre. When dipped in a bowl of tender beef rendang swimming in a pool of flavoursome sauce, it became so addictive! It was perfect for scooping up all that delicious sauce and no doubt this dish was devoured in minutes 🤤

I can’t believe it was over a month ago that I said goodbye to London and I set off on this mini adventure. This morning I woke up craving a piece of home, and nothing says 🇬🇧 like a comforting bowl of porridge. It’s just crazy how fast time flies, I mean how are we only 10 Saturday’s away from Xmas?
#maraswunderland

The Eggs 🍳
Tell us how you like your eggs in the comments!👇🏼
Some play with jenga, I play with #brownies! 😍
Gooey Chocolate Brownies
Ingredients for 1 dozen
3/4 cup butter (150 gms - chopped into pieces)
3/4 + 1/3 cup sugar
3/4 + 1/3 cup flour
3 eggs (separate yolk from whites)
200 gms dark chocolate (chopped into pieces)
3/4 tsp vanilla essence
1 + 1/2 tsp tsp baking powder
In a glass/steel bowl, melt butter and chocolate on double boiler. Blend together and keep aside.
In another bowl, sift the flour. Add the baking powder to the flour and keep aside.
In a deep glass/steel bowl, beat the egg whites till they form peaks. After the foamy peaks are formed, add the egg yolks, sugar and vanilla essence, and beat on low for a minute to mix them together. (Note: Remember do not beat on high or whisk too much, otherwise the batter will absorb too much air and become spongy like a cake.) Now add the melted chocolate and butter and beat for another minute. Then add the flour in two parts, and fold in lightly with the spatula. Do not beat or whisk after adding the flour. Gently fold it in till blended together.
Transfer the brownie batter into a baking tray lined with baking paper, and bake at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Do not over bake or the texture will become spongy instead of gooey.
Enjoy it warm as it is or with a dollop of vanilla icecream!
I have this thing for Gomaae and I’m happy to announce that @kadoyaberlin does not only make a very nice version of TanTan but also mastered this tiny spinach sesame salad perfectly! Super happy since it’s one of my absolute favourite things from the Japanese cuisine and something I literally have to order when it’s on the menu.

Quinoa tummy friendly meatless balls 👌🏽! Serve with salad or have with your next pasta dish. They are my absolute fav !😋
To make, mix 2 cups cooked quinoa - 1/2 cup minced brown onion - 1/4 cup fresh parsley, (finely chopped) - 1/2 tsp ground cumin - 1 garlic clove, (minced) - 1/2 tsp coriander (optional) - 1/4 cup almond flour - 3 tbsp coconut flour - 1 tsp salt - 1/4 tsp pepper - 3 eggs (I used vegan egg replacer), - coconut or rice bran oil for frying. Once mixed divide mixture into four equals portions, making six balls with each portion. Fry until browned, transfer to paper towel lined plate. Serve warm. #plantbased#vegan#glutenfree
