I read something a couple of weeks ago that hit me hard and has stuck with me. -
It said, "Your parents don't owe you sh$# in adulthood." Like danggg, honest much? 😅😂
How true though. How many of us have some childhood hurt & baggage we've carried around into adulthood?? 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
When you think about it though, what can your parents REALLY do about that NOW?
They can't go back in the past, saying sorry, yes, but that won't just heal the wound. -
If you're still reading then maybe you acknowledge the hurt or anger that you still carry.
That is a GREAT first step!
Finding the proper help with it, making sure your lifestyle is not a re occuring pattern of toxic ways you may have become use to growing up.
Remove yourself from toxic environments and people, family or not.
It is about YOUR mental health, and that at least I believe, should come first. -
I know the older I've grown the wiser, that wasn't always the case (lol teen years😂), but I refuse to let anyone's piss attitude or negativity affect my life. Hell no, I don't got time for that. -
I am no psychologist by any means, but I've found one of the best things I can do is acknowledge it.
Embrace the hurt/anger, what can you take away from that?? How do you NOT want your kids to feel or experience growing up?
Break the cycle, which I completely understand is and can be incredibly HARD, but do you want them to feel this way in their adulthood?? NO. -
Working out is MY stress reliver, honestly I feel like I work through SO MUCH mentally when I workout. -
So yes, I've gained some muscle, but the brain gains are REAL. 😝 As well as the mental health gains. -
One more thing because of course I can't make a short post to save my life. 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Yes, you may have gone through or been put through some 💩💩💩, but look at who you are now. The strength you've gained from it all, and the strong person it turned you into. ❤

In the process, convinced a friend ( @scottie_chippin) to give the my Transphormation challenge a go. I was happy as hell explaining it to him and everything there is to offer. Downloading the app that can change the game for these next 8 weeks. .
