“The reading of all good books is like conversation with the finest people of the past centuries”
I’ve always been an avid reader. There is nothing quite like being drawn into the pages of a good book, but classic works are among my favourite. I love being transported through time and able follow stories that are built around the world in an entirely different time period. Jane Austin with her romanticised works of the British aristocracy or Dickens with his stories criticising social inequality during the Victorian era. Stories that highlight the rich histories of our little island.
I love finding a book that is so beautifully created that it pulls you in and helps stir something inside and change an entire perspective. Recently and in more contemporary works, The Bees’ by Laline Paul and ‘Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine’ by Gail Honeyman did that for me and I’ve never been the same since reading them.
Growing up I used to throw myself into the world of Harry Potter by and on the days where life was a little too hard, it pulled me into a place of happiness and wonderment. Books have the power to do that. To take the reader away from their own world and into a new one. Books are a powerful thing and without them, I’m not sure I’ve ever have made it out of the woods and onto my well-lit pathway. Books are the reason I am here. Books are proof that humans really can create magic 📚✨❤️.

Happy Friday! I’ve had an incredibly long week and not in a good way. Have you ever felt like you have one or two things in life going great but everything else is a shit show and you’re kind of dying on the inside? Well, that’s been me this week. Nutrition and working out have been great, but I’m getting my ass kicked by school, car problems and a landslide of other things. So since the gym is going well for me, here’s a “fun” ab workout for you all to try:
🔥Russian Twists 🔥Leg lifts
🔥Alternating leg lifts
🔥Bent Leg Jackknifes
🔥 X Planks
I did 30 seconds, all superset together for four rounds with a minute rest between rounds.
