Self love has never been one of my strong points. But this year I’ve been learning to accept my insecurities and love myself. So even though I look at this photo and see many flaws I am posting it (after deleting and re-writing about 4 times)
Trying to love my body pre baby was tough, when I turned 18 I put on a lot of weight and since then I have had a constant struggle with dieting, then going off the rails and back again. I used to swear I could smell fatty food and I’d put on weight 😂 After I had my daughter it all changed, my hips were wider, legs bigger, belly flabbier and boobs huge. And here I have the same but different body to learn to love again!! Old tricks to lose the weight no longer worked for this new body, favorite clothes didn’t fit anymore, I didn’t feel comfortable in my own skin and my insecurities were starting to affect my life. I am so lucky to have my amazing husband and friends around me to pull me out of that rutt and encourage me to get healthy again.
So I’m ending 2019 feeling the healthiest, strongest and happiest I’ve felt in a long time. And even though I look at my body and see flaws, this body grew the best thing to ever happen to me and for that I love it!
Menopause is a tough journey and having the right attitude is so important with reaching the end destination in a happier place .. it is easily achieved with support , understanding and just talking to ladies in groups like this makes you realise that every single woman goes through this in their lifetime. Being able to laugh with each other not at each other is important and understanding that hormones do have an effect on our mental health and well being. Re adjusting your lifestyle is key to feeling happier and content . Be selfish and take time for yourself and introduce things that will change your life for the best , adding exercises class yoga, Pilates or long walks helps to socially keep you happy as well as physically. Lean bulk day 3 🐿
I thought eating was fun, but since I started to eat for muscle growth, I don't think so anymore... During my diet I ate about 1400 calories daily, I felt fit & had fun during my workouts. Now I try to eat between 1800-2000 cals (not a huge difference to my diet, but I still want to eat healthy, because I hate junk food & 600 cals make a huuuge difference trust me), but I feel weak & tired & it's just the 3rd day... My stomach volume decreased a lot during my diet & that's why it's so hard for me to eat more. I feel like I could explode every single moment🙄 During the last 3 workouts I had problems to finish my supersets (I love supersets!), because I was extremely out of breath & I sweated like I did a marathon. I felt awful (apart from the pump, which was sick!). I hope that I can keep up for a few more weeks & that it will get better from time to time🙏🏻
