Katrin @katrinsgarten has a parc like garden with so much to discover. Great design with wuthering paths and borders in different color schemes. True master piece 👌🏻
“Advice is a dangerous gift, even from the wise to the wise, and all courses may run ill.” I don’t mind this turning older business. Yarn to make a cardigan I’ve drooled over for years, plus the whole of LOTR read to me by my favourite human. ✨
Weaving has been a cherished skill for as long as we've had a desire to be dry, cart food, carry babies, cloth ourselves...and more often than not, the women have honed this skill, passing it from one generation to the next. From necessity came a need to learn but through the process of creating, women came together and connected through sharing, talking and just being. We seemingly have no pressing need for this skill anymore as we have ready made plastics, clothes, prams, houses, rugs.... but not only does this generate piles of single use synthetics beyond our imagination, it strips us of the chance to create, to connect with natural materials, to come together, to share, to build rituals and traditions. In today's busy-ness we sometimes gift ourselves the chance to learn the art and we call it 'mindfulness'. But imagine if we could see it as the much cherished skill that it once was and we could consider the time it took to make such sturdy, useful things of beauty a necessary part of life because it reunited us with each other, ourselves and with the natural world which offers us the materials in abundance throughout the seasons. Imagine living in a world that cherished those things!
This girl has white lashes on her left eye.. just had to share her gorgeousness 😍
