This photo was taken from the videoclip to skin which is being released tonight at 7pm. Creatively talented
@hamjuadeo420 did an amazing visual interpretation for it that really captures the feel of the song. Definitely keep an eye out for it because it’s worth a watch!
Modern portrait acrylic painting 🖼 on canvas titled “Dirty Mickey”. Liquid gold oozing down like a cesspool of monetary greed, “Is that you, Mickey, from my childhood memories of purity and innocence “, “Yes ,” replied Mickey. “But not like you remember. Beautiful, shiny and clean, but this thinly recognizable dirty filthy film of corrupted, adult society.” Of course most of my works it is essentially up to you the viewer, as to what you see within the piece. Now available for purchase at $1499.99Au with FREE POSTAGE within Australia 🇦🇺 and overseas. Approximately 51 x 40.5cm in size and also available poster prints starting at $29.99Au. Both artwork & poster prints are available on www.davidcallejatrading.com.au. Hope you like, enjoy everyone 😊.

Detail of Mary Lou Williams 👄
Jazz has healing in it, and a lot of love🎹

HAIR: Hair is a unique feature to the individual in a portrait and deserving of care and attention.
I mass in the large overall shape. I bring out smaller unique shapes (here some of the dreads catching light) I don’t make anything up. If I do, it is to improve composition and what I make up follows the characteristics of their hair.
How do you approach hair?
19 x 18 in.
Oil on linen
TIP: Hair shadow shapes and light catching strands are key in capturing the unique quality of the sitter’s hair. .....

In the public eye, girls and women with strong perspectives are hated. If you're a girl with an opinion, people just hate you. There are still people who are afraid of successful women, and that's so lame.
She’s so pretty, couldn’t help myself to share another picture from this shoot🤪
Day 51/100 of the
#100dayportraitchallenge hosted by @ajalper. I am now trying to set myself a clear goal each time before I start to paint. How do I want to paint this? With this effort to proceed more intentionally, I am hoping to avoid some of the usual traps that I tend to fall into... (putting in details too soon, adding bits of color everywhere instead of solving one area at a time, a messy pallette and as a result messy colors in my painting,... and a few more... 😉). So what was my goal here?
- Warm figure vs cool background
- Painting big shapes as long as I could
- Not overworking detail, no hard lines
- Especially keep in mind the values and the contrast between light/dark
Did I succeed? Mwwwwhhmpfrr. 🤔👀🧐 On some points I guess, on others less. I am thinking to do several studies of the same face, under different light circumstances. This was done from a photo, approx 4 hours of work (aaahh!), size is 16,5 x 20 cm. The 'happy victim' is my husband. 🙂
