For quite some time now, I have noticed how you show up in spaces and exude an energy that shouts POWER! I’ve admired how you use your voice to create storytelling that leaves one with an impactful feeling. For awhile I have admired how @hannahdrake628 has used her poetic talent to educate, inspire, advocate and heal many communities. A month ago, Hannah made an open invitation on Facebook to attend a vision 20/20, (that was my entry) I immediately inboxed her. I saw this as my moment to share space with a woman Who is authentic and talented. Hannah has shown the ability to grow her business and be recognized across the 🌎. That’s the type of energy I wanted to be around. As I’ve learned life is about building connections, so this was the opportunity to do so as well as continue to build my tribe up. Hannah took us on a explorative journey that allowed reflection, affirmation and hope. She was personal on how she got to where she is today and humbled to admit she is still doing her work. We laughed, cried and shared openly. We don’t get that too often and if you can, I suggest you take advantage of being in safe spaces to do so. It’s cleansing. As we walk into 2020 I feel excited to gain another space of fellowship, clarity and a roadmap of what’s been lingering in my brain. Thank you Hannah your truth was heard and now we can continue to practice to do the same for ourselves. Brick by brick

25 Days of Intention: Day 15
Sunday, December 15th: Light
Accept your darkness.
Nurture your soul.
Share your light.
Today, take 5 minutes for meditation (set a timer for yourself or use a meditation app if you like)
Find a comfortable seat (sit on a block/cushion or against a wall for support)
Place your hands on your knees or thighs with palms facing up
Close your eyes
Breathe deeply and steadily
Imagine your inner light at your heart center
Continue to breathe and visualize the light
As distractions come up, as they naturally do, gently shift your focus back to this internal light
With compassion, acknowledge the presence of darkness. With love, allow yourself to celebrate the simultaneous and constant existence of light
At the end of your meditation, take 3 deep breaths. With each exhale, picture your light being sent out into the world❤
Ralphie, it's time for a TIME-IN!⠀⠀
Ralphie and his friends Flick and Schwartz were tormented by the neighborhood bullies Scut Farkus and Grover Dill. Ralphie eventually snapped and beat up Farkus. He (REALLY) needed a time-in!!! This holiday season, if you find yourself in a tense situation or stressful moment, a 16-second TIME-IN will get you through!⠀Close your eyes and watch your breath as you take a long, slow, deep breath in. Watch it go down into your belly. And when it gets there, hold the breath in to the count of four and continue to watch it as it sits inside. Then, release it and observe the exhale as it moves up your chest, into your throat and back out through your nostrils. And then hold the breath out and witness it as it dissipates into the air. That’s in to the count of 4; hold to the count of 4; release it to the count of 4; and hold it out to the count of 4. All the while watching it, witnessing it, observing it. Then open your eyes, breathe normally and move on. Peace. -davidji
| as human beings, it is in our nature to mold ourselves into the ideal person we see ourselves being regardless of our abilities. When I speak of abilities I speak to everyone because if we are identified as having what society calls a ‘disability’ we only look at what we perceive to be a problem instead of the strengths. As it pertains, to why we seek out therapy there are a million reasons why and most importantly many reasons why we do not. However, it is imperative that we seek support even if it is not professionally. You want to be able to have a support circle. This can be friends, family, educators, therapists, etc... Continue to mold and build this circle as you grow. It is important for you & your healing. 〰️🍃
It’s so refreshing (as a momma of 3) to watch new parents get ready to soak in that sweet baby. The nursery perfectly set in place (meanwhile my third is still in a pack and play & without a nursery 🤪). These two will be the best parents to their sweet baby girl. 🖤
Come join us this morning in the Connect Space @emmanuelenidok for a Parent/Student Connection Time. We will be discussing the direction & focus of the youth ministry. Along with hearing from you on how we can help minister to our students better. #Connection#BeHeard
Successfully survived a swim in this river #byholdingontoarock 💪🏼 but... was medicine for the soul to get out of the crazy and be surrounded by nature, the sound of water and the sun on your skin with some beautiful people #soulfood#indialyfe#connection
It can be easy to oversee all the things our partners do for us.⠀
Take a moment each day to notice the things they do for you and express your appreciation. By doing so, you are reinforcing good behavior and will most likely see more of the actions that you appreciate.⠀
Archangel Chamuel (actually pronounced Cham-ee-you-l). For some reason when I read, I pronounce things half in English and half in Italian 😂

Perspective is a peer support centre in
Claremorris that provides many free hours of support to people in mental health crisis and recovery, this night will be a great way to celebrate an evaluated @elainedebrun Perspective to mental health. All donations will go towards peer support and it's provision.
Perspective also has a fun, integrative, creative and expressive approach to mental wellbeing for kids and adults. Perspective is committed to helping our youth become emotionally aware of personal wellbeing and teaches techniques for wellbeing in an era of anxiety, stress, impulsiveness and bullying issues. I have been a peer support worker since 2011 but definitely being in the community for 2019 has been amazing, community is where its needed. Early intervention, co education, connection and dialogue are superpowers!
