We are men. Society don't give us right to cry openly. We are expected to be strong, bold, macho type. I think everyone must have listened this once as a child or anytime - Hey stop crying, are you a girl? Be a man.
I just want to ask this society,
Do only women have emotions?
Only they have right to express it?
What about the thousands of emotions a man bury inside his heart ?
Ask a man what he sacrifice for his family. Ask a man how he fulfill his duty as a son, as a father, as a husband, as a brother, as a friend.
A man is always expected to respect a women anywhere and in any condition. Should keep her like queen. Should pay for her. Open the car's door for her. Pull the chair before she sit at hotel. It is assumed as a sign of true gentleman. Do you really think this makes a gentleman? I don't think so.
Being polite makes gentleman. Protesting the wrong makes gentleman. Always standing for truth makes a gentleman. Taking care of family makes gentleman. Where you stand, everyone should feel safe, this makes gentleman. No matter if you are scared of darkness, but never be a scared of hardship in life, this makes gentleman. Being an ideal human being makes a gentlemen.
We celebrate women's day. Yes men were always considered as superior than women. We are changing things, making women safe. Giving them rights and freedom. They are achieving success Making country proud. Time will need to change.
But have anyone thought about males. A man is kept under the pressure of being perfect, disciplined, strong, fearless. But have they taught what to do when you feel like crying? No. I'll tell, just cry or express your emotions and feelings in any way. Make yourself feel better. Because you deserve it. Crying should not be a man's weakness. A man also feel pain.
We all have our dad's struggle. Just ask your him , what it is like to be a man? What have you sacrificed? What you want in life? You'll surely get the best answer from him, which even I can't tell. This space in Caption is very less to express what a man feels in his lifetime.
