I used to think an hour at the gym (minimum) a day 5-6 days a week and tracking every piece of food I ate was the only way to get and stay fit. And don’t get me wrong, it made me fit and strong - but I wouldn’t say that it was all that healthy.. 😒. There was no balance and there was no fun, it wasn’t for me! .
Since I looked at different ways of training and with the help from my husband @mattycfox@bodyweightbuilt I’ve come so far and I can truly say I enjoy working out and I feel better than I ever did sacrificing social life and favourite foods all for “fitness”. Sure, I still have cellulite and rolls here and there, I don’t strive for perfection I just want to feel fit, healthy and happy 😊 .”
Benefits of incorporating balance and coordination drills
Body Awareness is the sense of how your limbs are oriented in space, also known as proprioception. Balance training improves body awareness, which decreases the likelihood of injury.
Coordination – Balance training requires your entire body to work together, otherwise you will fall or stumble. Improved coordination during balance training will be transferred into coordination in everyday life.
Joint Stability will be improved as balance training promotes stable knees, ankles, hips, and shoulders. Which can prevent a large array of injuries including sprained ankles and serious knee problems.
Reaction Time can be improved. If you happen to stumble when performing balance drills, your body needs to re-balance immediately or you will fall. This in turn will improve your reaction time in everyday life.
Long term health helps to maintain and improve your balance, it's needed to prevent falls and fractures. As we age, our balance can deteriorate, something we want to avoid.
LEAP OF FAITH
If you have a dream, take a leap and go for it and NEVER GIVE UP, it’s not as scary as you may think. Yes it’s going to be hard work and there will be moments where you will question yourself. But every doubt, every worry, every stressful situation, every sacrifice, every sleepless night, every missed social occasion, will all be worth it. When your passionate about something you will SUCCEED!
Trust me I know this, I’m in the middle of taking the leap to building something new and progressing forwards to the next level. Yes it’s scary but don’t let it stop you, I’m loving the challenge that’s coming with it. I’m experiencing all of the above and the sacrifices that I have to make, the lack of sleep, going into the unknown..... just make me stronger and give me more and more drive.
And I tell you what surrounding yourself with like minded people and the right kind of people make a massive difference. There are times in life when you find out who your genuine group of people are and who are the fake ones that want to be nosey and negative towards you or just want something. These people just give me even more FIRE to absolutely SMASH it and keep pushing to be the best! So bring it on 👊👊 LIFE IS LIMITLESS, it’s only you that will stop yourself from achieving what you truly want.
Wake up every morning with a purpose, a goal, a target, a dream, what ever it may be. Set the path and get on it. Don’t be a talker be an action taker! As before you know it things will change time will fly by and you will end up with regrets. DONT BE THAT PERSON!
Don’t limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind let’s you. What you believe remember you can achieve.
CHASE YOUR DREAMS AND NEVER GIVE UP!! ➡️ no push up burpees : hit a good plank position, yes you’re jumping when you stand ➡️ no jump burpees : chest to deck, stand up all the way but keep feet on floor ➡️ speed skaters : these can be as dynamic or as controlled as you need them to be! .
