Always fun & interesting shooting with/for @oggitomicpictures & @Cambridge_Uni#88pianists
In Birmingham yesterday, we filmed a @GWR attempt for the most people playing ONE (!) piano simultaneously.
Each person played 1 of the 88 keys, and if you're wondering how to fit 88 people around a piano... The piece was commissioned to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Leonardo Da Vinci's death and was performed by schoolchildren from throughout the UK. 📺See more on tonight's @bbctheoneshow @ 7pm
Did you know that 93% of U.S. adults listen to the radio every week according to @lifeatnielsen? That’s more than those watching TV or using a computer or smartphone. Even in the digital age, the PR division at McK will ensure that your story gets told over the radio waves! #NationalRadioDay#AM#FM#XM#Broadcast
Thank you to @cirquedusoleil for having me out to play music at the yyc premiere of "Luzia". Such a trip to perform in their big tent.
As well thank you to all the artists for their creations. Some really fantastic releases coming out soon.
You can find the August 19th 2019 playlist and stream of "The Brutal and the Beautiful" available on cjsw.com or grab the podcast pretty much anywhere.
Today is National Radio Day, which recognizes the great invention of the radio. Did you know that in November 1920, in a shack atop a Westinghouse building in East Pittsburgh, KDKA Radio sent out the world’s first commercial radio broadcast? The caption on the back of this photo from 1924 reads: "Short-wave Transmitting Station - Station KDKA East Pittsburgh, Pa. This is only one of the transmitting stations for KDKA. This station is used for short-wave transmission to Hastings, Nebraska and England." From the Westinghouse Electric Corporation Photographs, Detre Library & Archives at the History Center. #radio#nationalradioday#kdkaradio#broadcast#pittsburgh#pittsburghhistory#history
Is in-person networking good for podcasters? Of course it is.
We have had a few podcast hosts from podcasts of a similar nature, on as guests to our podcast. Perhaps you will meet people who you can “crossover” and guest on each other’s podcast. Maybe other podcasters can suggest an awesome guest that would be able to share their expertise or story in a different way to a different demographic. .
Network. You never know who you’re going to meet and what doors may open.
