Thanks to all of you for the very nice birthday wishes today. It made a busy day at work go by a lot better! My birthday party was actually yesterday, while visiting my mom and dad back in Covina. Mom cooked up a feast of Indian food I’d gladly drive three hours both ways for, on any day! Also, Mom made me a nice poppy seed bundt cake. Unfortunately, we didn’t have any big single 2-inch scented candle to stick in the middle of that cake, so we settled for a few small ones. Finally, here’s something really cool! My mom made homemade peach margaritas! As you can see in the second picture, I couldn’t wait to try it out! Not to be outdone, my dad got me some beer to take home! It was a good day to spend with family and talk about my life in Blythe, and all the good things I’ve got planned for the rest of the year. Now that I’m totally settled in, the main goal is to get out there in the world and see you. Having all of you out there in all corners of the world is a blessing I never take for granted.
