Histaria's level of protection was stuff of legend. Its barrier was powered by 6, not 4, but 6 Posion Gems reinforced by the greatest wizards of the 9 realms. The King E'Lanam did not want any one disrupting the peace of his kindgom and his descendants followed suite.
Dar'axn had no intention of being defeated. He had waited centuries for a chance to exact his revenge. Even though the object of his anger was most likely dust by now, he would make sure all those of his lineage suffered. He watched from the sea admiring the magnificence of the city, somewhat sad that it would soon lie in ruin. There was no guarantee that his beloved Trinxn was still alive. It has been too long.
He would take one of theirs and lay waste to their homes. Down into his own depths he would retreat with the princess, forever his prisoner. Histaria would be a thing of legend, remaining only in songs of drunken bards.
He emerged from the waters, followed by his hoard. It was time to feast. With a red gem in his hands, the one weakness of the barrier, he smiled. Only the mighty Creator had no weakness and even he could not stop the wrath that was about to be visited on the greedy humans that took his betrothed.

Because behind every woman, there is a pillar of mastery. Splice the ripple and watch the drift, you may just witness and not dismiss.
Thinking of painting this beauty on a 48x60. Let’s make it happen... yes!?! 🎨
