Picked up my numbers for Friday's Masters MTB World Championships here at @montsainteanne
Having a bit of fun ahead of my Cyclocross season. Looking forward to hanging out and Racing with my #trekcxc teammate @jfblais99 Friday
#3 is my lucky number and I drew three 3's, maybe it's good luck?
Connor and I kit'd up and headed out to pre-ride the course.
Here's a few key words that help describe the course:
Fast, very fast, smooth, mostly non-technical, hilly, short punchy climbs (it's on a ski mountain), rollers, decending burms, pump track-like sections, single track.
Connor had fun on the course, though there were a few sections, down hill and up that we're beyond his skill and comfort level.
I count about 700' climbing per lap over 4 miles. Not a lot of sections to pass. Not a lot of rocks or roots, like I'm used to. There were 2 semi-technical sections, both uphill though. Overall this course very much favors a hard tail, that's what I'll race. The new Procaliber. I have the Top Fuel SL with me just in case.
I ran 18psi fr/rr and it seemed dialed.
