CLOSE GRIP BENCH PRESS An excellent addition to any push workout and an exercise that should be considered by those wishing to develop their triceps. But... Also a big culprit for shoulder and elbow pain. This exercise can feel unnatural for a variety of reasons. 1. Hand position - too wide and you take tension away from the triceps and place it in your chest. 2. Depth - too deep and you cause some internal rotation at the shoulder. Think parallel rather than bringing your hands to your chest. 3. Line of push - is the bar moving around a lot? Stabilise your scapula and try to push and descend in the same line. If that's tough, consider moving to a Smith Machine variation

"Wanting to be someone else is a waste of who you are". - Marilyn Monroe It really hit me for six after competing how many people told me they want to be built like me and have my body. As complimentary as it was, there was a huge part of my heart that didn't like it. HUGE! As much as I want to inspire people and have an impact on peoples lives. I don't not want to fall part of society and media that gives girls body dysmorphia and affecting their level of self love. I do not want to influence people to look like me but rather to be themselves. In a world of so much diversity it is an utter waste of time to idolize an influencer and want what they have and be who they are. I can guarantee you that their lives are not just what you see on their newsfeed. They do not look like their photoshoot photos all the time. They wake up with break out just like you, they get bloated just like you, their hair fizzes in the rain or hot humid weather just like you, their nails are not always done just like you, they don't always look like cover models just like you. Sometimes they say fuck't and eat the whole bag of chips (party size) just like you, sometimes they skip the gym just like you, sometimes they don't brush their hair just like you. Life is not about being perfect. It's not about looking like a cover model. We waste so much time and potential wanting what others have that we forget to appreciate everything we have that the influencer you're idolizing might not even have. I don't know why us humans do it but we are so focused on other people's lives that we forget to out and live our own. This is also why I encourage women to do a photoshoot and get their make up done by a professional. It will teach you that you can look like that too, you can also look like a cover model. Just a little baby quad flex for the gram after a rough start to a volume block 🥴 can’t wait to grow grow groooow and get stronger ofc!!! Finally back on program today and it feels gooood not having to worry about what I’m doing in the gym lol, idk how I went so long without one (thanks coach @brentcor)!!!! —— Nothing special just some volume werrrrkkk, did a top set at 205 for RPE ~6.5 (didn’t record 🙃) then 3 x 8’s l o l fml- just realized I only did 7 reps.... oops sorry coach............. Then I benched after (also didn’t record) and then did some leg accessory work! Gonna try and do some more goblet squats and front squats to help me stay upright and tight in my upper back for back squats, we’ll see how that goes! Почему влюблённые люди уверены что если они повторят 1000 раз, что ты их любишь, ты должен как минимум все 1000 раз сказать, а я тебя ещё больше. Или вообще должны делать тысячи благородных великих дел, именно должны, а то как-же, их любят, а они прохлаждаются. В некотором смысле, влюблённые люди не понимают, что они должны быть благодарны объекту, за то что в их теле и душе так много приятных эмоций - и требовать ещё, и ещё, это наркоманство. Я скорее о том, что будьте благодарны тем, кто рождает в вас такие чувства, больше они вам ничего не должны, итак дали достаточно. И не должны они быть с вами особо внимательными, обходительными и утонченными. Потому что любовь, это просто благодарность за рождение внутри этой химии. На этом все. Это как обидится на героин, за то что он не размножается сам по себе.
